Even though you all had to wait little longer for your NOA2, you are lucky in one aspect...

The May NVC thread is dreadful. Crickets. No love. No comradary. No nothing.

My case is at a standstill at my embassy. I might as well wait with you all here as I'm positive I'll get interview/medical/POE on the same schedule as you.

Day 13 since "Ready" at NVC/embassy. Not allowed to send packet 3 cuz embassy said so.

(Jeopardy song on repeat with middle finger resting on "send button" to send packet 3. Say the word Montreal, say the GD word)

I front loaded my I-126F with a copy of my I-134 (so figure that was back in November 2017). My information hasn't changed any... I'm hoping I don't need to fill out a new copy, physically sign it, and mail it to my fiance to take with her to the interview. The original extra copy I gave her should be sufficient, yeah?

I am planning on sending updated "statement of intent to marry" for both of us, mine with a wet signature, and her's blank to sign.

Also sending, last years tax transcript and my W2, and an employment verification letter (dated this May). I have been with the same company almost 6 years and have a good income that shouldn't cause any concerns. I've heard in Kyiv they often don't even ask for this stuff anyway, so not too concerned.

Also planning to send to my fiancee updated chat logs since we filed, and then of course she will have copies of everything she needs based on the Ukraine checklist from Packet 3.

Totally starting to get excited now that the long wait is over! Just a tiny wait now, and we can get to work scheduling stuff!

My only concern would be with the I134

1) It's dated November by your signature.

2) Does the income amount on that old version reflect the current 2017 W2's/2017 IRS Transcript/2017 1040's? Not to mention if you input bank account amounts...

My fear is that either:

A) Although your supporting documents will match your I134 financial amounts they will be from 2016 not 2017

Or B) If you only send updated 2017 supporting documents the amounts won't match with the financial amounts on the form.

The income amount on the I134  is within .1% of my actual W-2 for last year. I didn't put any banking or other asset information. I was going to put all of that, but my lawyer said my income is more than enough and therefore  I didn't need to put the rest of the information. She's never had a denial or even an RFE, and I know about 20+ people who have used her. My only complaint is she's slow to respond to questions.

My fiance actually has 2017 and 2016 tax transcripts for me already, but I was going to add the 2017 W-2 to her folder to take, just in case.

I hear ya. My only concern is the date of your signature then if you are confident the amounts you reported then are the same as now/2017 financial supporting documents.

Put it this way... I was so concerned that the signature would be outdated by the time I get my interview I had my Peti wet sign many signature pages of the I134 just in case they may feel it was filled out too long ago. That way I can bring a "current" signature page...my concern may be for nothing but you never know. Ie they do require the LOITM to be signed within 30 days so that was my concern with the I134 as well as they both have to be brought to the interview.

Hi,

I have a question regarding PCC.

I lived in UK for 14 months in 2010 so got a PCC from there in November,2017 from ACRO.

Now,  I asked US Consulate in Mumbai what is their requirement for  PCC validity - 6 months or 1 year but they didn't give me a clear answer - they said it should be written on the PCC itself but the PCC issued by ACRO for UK has no validity mentioned by default , they say to check with embassy.

So , what should I do - near my interview date should I get a new PCC or go o with the one in November, 2017.

Any ideas  @Greenbaum  @x_driven_x  @Naes

I have this information for you. I include a link but the page has since been updated and though I believe this is still factual, I can't site the web page where I originally found the information. I say you get a new one so that there is no questions at your interview that will cause further delay.

Important: Police certificates expire after one year, unless the certificate was issued from your country of previous residence and you have not returned there since the police certificate was issued. If at the time of your interview the following three items are all true, you must bring a new police certificate to your visa interview:

    You are more than 16 years old;

The police certificate submitted to NVC was obtained more than one year ago; and

You still live in the country that issued the certificate.

For country-specific guidelines on how to obtain a police certificate, review the Country Documents section at Reciprocity by Country.

Sorry, just wanted to add a couple of caveat's to your conversation for consideration.

1. Most Embassy' are only looking for 1 year tax information (check with your P3 letter or ask the Embassy). You can submit more but use a IRS TAX TRANSCRIPTS, less papers to send or print.

2. The CO is only concerned with line 20 of your 1040 for the income amount.

3. Since you are within .1% of the requirement then I see no problem with passing that requirement (your lawyer is correct). Be sure you are comparing to the 2016 guidelines found HERE

4. Include W-2's from this years filing. Scanned and emailed for her to print is fine.

Some of my added information is for those are reading your post so they know where to go and what are the "usually" procedures from an Embassy's perspective.
