My Fiance also is currently living in Dumaguete near the airport. We plan to move to Dumaguete sometime in the future.

Dumaguete is my favorite place there in Negros so me too I'm planning to retire there in about 10 years so nice to have family there we can spend time with.

Interview at 6:40, medical on the 16th and 17th. Been together a couple of years now. Maybe I'll see her on my way out and can give her a little pep talk if she'll appreciate someone speaking to her in Cebuano in the jungle that is Manila. :D

I'm sure you will be out before 8:30 so you will do just fine I'm sure so take care!!!!

If the two of you want to look over the P3 letter before it is "officially" delivered to you I have copy here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/16CBrCLpOtdYDJW4bmpbc7-veJJdDktqU/view?usp=sharing

Looks like there are a few things you can do now waiting for the Embassy to send you the same letter as you are viewing. Good Luck.

Hi @Greenbaum do I need both 1040 and W2? Or is W2 enough already?

Nope. You need a 1040 with W2's. You can use a IRS tax transcript as it is about 2 pages long whereas your 1040 is going to be more then 6-10 pages but if are in the same circle of friends as Mark Zuckerberg, then your 1040 can run hundreds of pages. :jest:

Probably not or if they do it will be sometime after they make the change. Call once at the end of next week if nothing then call M,W, F of the next week. I'd like to hear how this is resolved so if you can report back it would educate me on what you had experienced.

HI Greenbaum!

Basically it took them only 1 day to update my DOB.

Thanks!

Hello everyone,  when we emailed the US embassy in Mumbai, India, requesting packet 4, this is what they sent us.

Thank you for your email requesting a packet 4 to be sent to you.
We are in the process of reviewing your case file, and it may take a couple of weeks before we complete the process. A notification with further instructions will be sent to you.
We hope you find this information useful.
Sincerely,
Consular Information Unit
U.S. Consulate General Mumbai

Now I am confused why it can take several weeks and if we can schedule the interview before they send us packet 4 and if we can do the medical before they send us packet 4. because to schedule medical they want an interview letter and I wonder if that is part of packet 4 or that's the confirmation page we get when we schedule interview. Any ideas? Thank you.

Is w4 the same as 1040?

No the W4 is what you receive from the employer at the end of the year in order to do your taxes. That W4 is transcribed onto the 1040 form and calculations are done to determine the tax that must be paid. So those two items are different from each other but they are required for the interview. Don't be surprised if the CO during your interview in the Philippines does not ask for any financial information. They pretty much have stopped for about 3 years now not asking for it. But it is asked from time to time so you must be prepared for the interview or you'll receive an rfe.
