Hello Everyone, My case is in Transit today. So took about 2 weeks since the day they received it. When I called to get my NVC number on June 25th they told me that they received my case that day. I will update when it says ready. Wishing everyone good luck and best wishes.

Well good luck to you and please share his experience after the interview when you can. Are you attending his interview if you don’t mind me asking? And could you by any chance when you are scheduling his interview see if August 30th or August 31 has available times?

Thank you so much I have been on visa journey every day but I really haven’t posted much.

Sure. And no unfortunately I cant be with him for his interview 😭

Question:

U.S. Department of State
IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION
In Transit
Immigrant Visa Case Number: CSBxxxxxxxxxx

Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center.

I got an email saying that the case is being sent to Morocco buit I dont see a interview date as indicated on the CEAC site.  Is that normal?  Should I call CEAC and see what the interveiw date is?

That is for CR-1 who get there interview date set for them. Your a K-1 so you can ignore that information and concentrate on getting everything done through your Embassy. Someone who just went through their interview in Morocco sent me this information.

https://ma.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee-visa/the-interview/

Once you get a case number, you can fill out the DS 160 online. Print the confirmation page for this once completed.

Once it says "Ready" that means you email the consulate and request an interview. Include your name, fiancés name, case number and that you're looking to schedule a K1 Fiance Visa interview. I heard they'll email you back within 2 weeks or so but I heard back the same day I sent the email.

When they email you back they'll tell you when your appointment is. Attached will be packet 3. Includes a list of doctors to choose from for the medical , your rights and your appointment letter. At that point - just get your papers together. My fiancé Got his police records in a week. Court records same day. Celibacy letter same day. And birth cert in the same day. Once he had them, he dropped them off to be translated. Picked them up in a week. Already you're at 2 weeks for gathering the fiancés paperwork. On top of that make sure your fiancé(e) sends you their documents (I-134, proof of relationship, taxes, pay stubs, letter from employer, updated letter of intent..) watch a YouTube video of how people put their documents together and Good luck.

Have you found a Packet 3 letter containing the Embassy instructions from your Embassy? Your VJ portal gives the following information http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Argentina&cty=Buenos. Checking your Embassy's website can deliver information for your upcoming interview found here https://ar.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee/the-interview/

So I just got this email from NVC. anyone knows what it means?

To continue processing your immigrant visa case, you will need to designate an agent. Please complete Form DS-261 (Online Choice of Address and Agent). We will send instructions for paying the immigrant visa application fee after processing your DS-261. We will send all future correspondence to the agent you selected.

If the principal applicant is under the age of sixteen, the principal applicant's parent or guardian may sign the form.

Please complete and submit Form DS-261 at http://ceac.state.gov.

For more information regarding the immigrant visa application fee, or for answers to frequently asked questions, visit http://nvc.state.gov for English or http://nvc.state.gov/espanol for Spanish.

For your case to continue, you need to pay one or more processing fees. Please go to http://ceac.state.gov and log in with your case number and your invoice ID number. Here are your numbers:

It means NOTHING. This is for those who are processing a CR-1. But because USCIS/NVC treats the K-1 visa as an immigrant visa (when it really is a non-immigrant visa with intent to immigrate) you will get that information. Ignore it!  Follow your Embassy's instructions.
