Sorry to hear that. I got the online notification of approval on June 11th and the letter said it was approved June 9th. But either way, I was approved after you. Hang in there, yours is probably there and waiting to be picked up by someone to put in the system, I am assuming.

Thanks... I am sure it is somewhere.

I got hopeful yesterday when I called because he started to ask me the next questions about names, etc... but then said "Oh... sorry, we don't have it". As long as it's this week sometime I will be happy.

You don't need to follow those 6 steps as they don't apply to the K1 process. What you need to do now is to keep checking your case status until it says 'Ready'. This means that the case has arrived at the consulate in Casablanca. Once that happens, you can start emailing the consulate (IVCasablanca@state.gov) asking for an interview date. They won't contact you first (well they might after several weeks/months...), so you will need to email them once a week or so until they respond to your email giving your fiance an interview date and additional instructions on the next steps. In your email, be sure to include your NVC receipt number, WAC number and the DOB for you and your fiance. Good luck!

Hello! So I was checking the CEAC website. I got confused as when I put my case number that starts with 3 letters, under non immigrant visa it says case number invalid? But when I check it under Immigrant Visa - the case number was accepted and says "AT NVC" also it says to follow six steps? What are those six steps? Please shed some light.

Thank you!

thats exactally what Im going thru.  K1 application is done umder the DS160 (which is non immigrant) but when I looked it up it falls under the immigrant case status - I thought I filled out the wrong papers but folks here say its ok

So I just need to submit the AOS form with supporting docs?   Im trying to figure out all that I need.  I understand that they will accept via e delivery which makes it so much better.

You don't need to submit anything to the NVC for the K1 process.

Sending the AOS form and supporting documentation is done for CR1 cases. Your fiance will bring a paper copy of the I-134 affidavit of support as well as any supporting documents directly to the consulate on the day of his interview.

You do need to submit the DS-160 online and pay the visa before before you schedule the embassy yes - but that is not you interactive with the NVC.

The embassy in your beneficiary's country should have instructions on what to do.

Right, the DS-160 needs to be completed prior to the interview. The beneficiary pays the visa fee in person at the interview (at least that's how it's done in Casablanca, other countries do pay online). The instructions that the NVC provides for K1 cases is outdated.

Every country is going to have different rules. For the Philippines we must pay the visa fee first before we can schedule the interview. In the Philippines we must also schedule the interview before we can do medical.
