im also a june 8th noa2 :) is it too late to call tonight lol/

I think you can call until Midnight. That's what I read from someone else's previous posts.

Also, do I have to have my DS160 filled out and submitted before I can track my case using the case number I got from NVC? I am not able to find any other way on the CEAC website to use the case number from NVC to track my case. Thank you.

The DS - 160 is a document that stands alone. It does not affect anything. It does not need to be finished to do anything else EXCEPT the interview and it can be completed between now and the day before your interview. You can't use it to find any information about your case. You can't use if for anything other than for its original intent and that is for the CO to use during your interview to adjudicate your case.

To use CEAC to track your case you need the case number which is issued at NVC. The only way to know what is happening with your case at NVC is to use the mobile app or call.

I hope this gives a better understanding of the current instructions to answer your questions.

HI, Thank you so much. I had read these words people used that they got their case number and they case says in processing or in transit etc. So I thought they were able to use the case number provided by NVC somwhere to see that info.

Are we still talking about the case tracker app (USCIS)? or there is another app specifically for NVC

Again, I really appreciate all you guys' help. Thank you so much.

IV (IV=IMMIGRANT VISA) is to watch for status updates for the stage from the NVC to your embassy. (Use NVC case #/starts with the first 3 letters of your embassy).

NIV (NIV=NON IMMIGRANT VISA) is to watch for status updates after your interview to see the process of Visa processing/approval/issued. (Use the DS160#/starts with "AA").

Hello! So I was checking the CEAC website. I got confused as when I put my case number that starts with 3 letters, under non immigrant visa it says case number invalid? But when I check it under Immigrant Visa - the case number was accepted and says "AT NVC" also it says to follow six steps? What are those six steps? Please shed some light.

Thank you!

Ignore everything below the dates. It does not apply to K1s because K1's are a non immigrant Visa with immigrant intent. So just watch for the status to change and/or the dates to know your case has been touched. Everything else is irrelevant Please shed some light. 🌞🌙🌟🔥⚡(take your pick?? 😁)

Thank you!

Hope that helped. There is additional info on the previous 5 pages or so of this same thread if you scroll back. (It has confused many ppl lately).
