No. I said I was not denied entry. See my above two replies.

Lol didn't read that right. Thanks! Hopefully it'll be ok, I've never overstayed with my tourist visa before and my travel to US is atleast three times a year for the last 2 years.

Lol, it's okay.

You should be good. Just have your supporting documents to prove you arent trying to immigrate (on this entry anyways, lol) and you should be fine.

K1visahopeful and Greenbaum thank you both.

Next question: my Noa 2 was June 11th so i haven't called the NVV yet. When exactly can my fiance make his medical interview, acquire his police certificate and set up the embassy interview? Do we have to wait for the nvc to give us a case number? Do we have to wait for the embassy to recieve our package? I'm going to send him my 134 and income info along with a copy of my Noa2, and divorce certificate. Am i missing anything?

First of all, if you haven’t already done so, make sure you complete your DS-160 and request your police certificate.  When you have your case number, you can call Knightsbridge to schedule your medical exam.  You’ll need to give them your case number when you schedule your appointment.  Once you have your exam scheduled, DS-160 completed and have everything else that you need for your interview, complete the Notification of Applicant Readiness Form and when your NVC case status changes to “In-transit” you can go to https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv to create an account and schedule an interview.  Make sure that you allow at least 5 working days between the date of your medical exam and the date of your interview or risk the results from the exam not arriving in time.  For your interview go here https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv/  or call here 442074867822

In accordance with 9 FAM 41.81 PN3.2, please find:

•        One copy of the petitioner's approved Form I- 129F, together with any criminal background information (including information on protection orders) that USCIS has gathered on the petitioner and any information that USC1S has provided regarding prior Form 1-129F filings by the petitioner.

•        One copy of USCIS's pamphlet, "Information on the Legal Rights Available to Immigrant Victims of Domestic Violence in the United States and Facts about Immigrating on a Marriage-Based Visa.

is this process the same for everyone? I am so confused. I went to speak with my lawyer yesterday and he said the next stop for me was the affidavit of support after which I should proceed with DS-160 and my interview. I asked about medical and he said you will be notified when its time for that. He made no mention f NVC or case number he said that was for spousal visa.

No it is not the same for everyone.

Each embassy has it's own procedure.

Everyone's experience after NVC will be different.

This example is for the UK as that is the poster's embassy.

You could find yours by looking through your embassy's portal on VJ.

PS your lawyer is not informed. All K1's go through the NVC and are issued an NVC case number.

Nigeria is a difficult Embassy to process through. My recommendation is to overload your evidence for the interview. Here a couple of study guides to you to use.

Fiance/Fiancee visas (K1s, K3s)

If your K1 or K3 petition has been approved by the Department of Homeland Security and you have received notification from the National Visa Center that your petition is on its way to post, you should download and complete the following application. The U.S. Consulate General in Lagos will contact you when your petition has arrived at post so that you may schedule your appointment. If you have questions, you may e-mail LagosIV@state.gov. I have been searching for Nigerian portal and cant find it. The NVC thing did not sound right to me aswell. He said the petition goes through there but I do not need to wait for a case number. That confused me.

Quick question @Greenbaum Since my fiance is going through the Abu Dhabi embassy I've been researching and trying to read everything I can.  Based on what I've read on VJ and a couple of Facebook groups...it looks like it's taking 2 to 4 months for the Abu Dhabi embassy to email out packet 3 (they are incredibly SLOW) and they are not accepting interviews before that, and they are actually turning people away if they try to interview before receiving their packet 3 email.

So my question is... when exactly is a good/safe time for my fiance to request his police clearance? He will need 2, one from India and one from Dubai.  But it's required to request the Dubai one first before he can request the Indian Police clearance.  Dubai one takes 24 to 48 hours, Indian one takes 5 to 7 days (best we can tell at least). Dubai police clearance is good for 3 months only and we don't want them to expire before use and waste that money (200 dirhams/$55usd approx for Dubai one).

So we were thinking to wait 2 months from NOA2, which would be about 1.5 months from getting our NVC number (of course depending on if that takes 2 to 4 weeks... give or take). Does this sound reasonable? Or we've missed something?

If anyone else has personal experience or knowledge on this,  feel free to chime in.  Thanks in advance!

Hi, @BluesDancer just curious... why so many folders? My USC fiance is sending documents from his end soon (we're just waiting on the NVC paperwork) and it's nowhere close to 6 folders. I'm worried we might be missing something or don't have everything. What is each folder for?

No that process I posted was for the UK Embassy so those who are processing through London would be concerned with those instructions. Here is the information you need for Nigeria.

I will gladly help you all that I can.

I broke down the paperwork into smaller packets of information with quick release paper binders.

They are technically not folders, they are more like books.
Each packet is color coded, alphabetized with an index page and some also have quick access labeled tabs.

Packets A through D are for the initial filing I-129F on November 7, 2017

Packet E: are petitioners documents for June 2018.

Packet F: are beneficiaries documents for June 2018.

Packet A: Primary Documents

Cover Letter

Payment
I-129F
G-1145
Petitioner Passport Photo
Fiance Passport Photo
Petitioner Statement of Intent to Marry
Fiance Statement of Intent to Marry

Packet B: Proof of US Citizenship
Birth Certificate Front
Birth Certificate Back
Passport - All Pages

Packet C: Proof of meeting in person within two years
First Visit:

11/07/2016 to 11/19/2016
Second Visit:

Packet D: Proof of ongoing relationship
April 9, 2016 to present

Packet E: Petitioners Documents
NOA 1 & 2: I-797C & I-797
Proof of Support: I-134 Form

I hope this helps. I was able to do most of the paperwork for my fiance from the US and add it to the packets.

BluesDancer is compiling everything that his fiancé(e) will need for the interview. It looks like a lot because one, he has added some additional information, the files are nice and neat (not a bad thing because if his fiancé(e) is asked for a document she is going to be able to find it quickly which will work in there favor). CO's do not like to be delayed so it's best to be organized.

If you have followed all the links and the instructions on Hank's website, you should not have a problem. You are worrying about nothing.
