Someone may have asked this question before, but I can't find the answer.. My question is, who should I inform about the change of beneficiary's address? Is it NVC or should I call the embassy once they get my case? What papers should I expect to receive in mail and who sends them?

Thank you!

That amount (20,785) is taxable income reported to the IRS when i filed my taxes this year. My VA housing allowance is not taxable. I was just concerned that its really close. I will be able to prove this income with my 2017 tax transcript.

My Peti (similarly) receives non-taxable disability benefits from the VA. We did include them in his income total and supported it by printing a summary of benefits from the VA's eBenefits website.

Could you not include your income from the housing allowance in your total to bump it up a little bit?

If you have documentation that can substantiate your amount is more then what is listed for your family size within the poverty levels the you DO NOT need to do anything else. It can be a penny more and they are still going to find that you meet their standards. Again, why do, when do will do?

Compile your documents that show your income from all sources and present along with the other requirements to your CO at the interview. Easy Peasy!

You have made some good suggestions of what he could include besides his regular earnings but if he beats the income level for his family size he doesn't have to include anything else besides his IRS 2017 transcript. In his case do will do.

I totally get that! She semed like she was feeling insecure about her total and I just wanted to reassure her that her housing allowance could be considered as income even though it doesn't appear on her tax returns. I just wanted to point that out but you are totally right! If she meets it she has nothing to worry about!

Hello!!! I got my NOA2 last June 8. My fiance and I are planning on seeing each other again in July 13-17 but debating who should visit, I have a tourist visa to the US and I just recently visited him May and March. Would it be a problem if I visit again since I already have my NOA2 and probably by July 13 the papers would be in transit to the embassy? Is it safer if he just visit me?  Any inputs please?

I visited the US after NOA2 and my petition actually reached the embassy the day I was flying back. No problems at all but I do carry all my ties to my country every time I cross the border (Lease, paystubs, employment letter stating when I will be returning to work, bank statement stating I have sufficient funds to support myself, and proof of return ticket).

My only thought was the DS160 as you have to input all of your dates of entry into the US. I edited it after I returned to my country to reflect the last entry and did not submit the DS160 until after the edit. Others will say this does not matter but I was concerned so I did edit the document.

Thank you! I have read a few messages here before that they were denied entry to the US when visiting while on the process of K1 so that is one of my worries.

I have been once since NOA1 and once since NOA2. I'm Canadian so that might have something to do with it but I'm pretty sure that as long as you have am unexpired tourist entry Visa, proof of ties to your country and you haven't overstayed the length of your Visa in the past 356 days (or this visit would make it an overstay) you should be fine. May make the similar enquiry in your country's portal to see if anyone there had any problems.

I will only be traveling for 4 days, so you were denied entry? and what happened?
