In Ukraine, yes... you can schedule the medical exam once you have the case number. You don't need to wait for that part.

Thank you sir!

Running into a small delay in the process. My fiance signed, submitted and printed the DS-160 form and paid the fee two days ago at the bank. Two days later we are still not able to schedule the interview because it is not recognizing the receipt#. I called in to schedule the interview by phone and the lady said the fee paid hasn't been released yet. She apologized and said they would email us when the fee is available to schedule her interview. Does it usually take this many days in the Philippines for the money to be made available after paying the visa fee?

Congrats to all the folks making progress...

I have a question concerning the 134 affidavit of support. I made 20,735 last year this is just 200 dollars over the 125% guideline. Would it be recommended I have a co-sponsor? my previous tax years show I made more, but i'm taking college courses so I have not been working as much. I am a vet so I've been using my GI Bill housing allowance to live on when I'm taking courses and yes I do still work just not as many hours. My current pay stubs for June until August will show 54 hours plus a week, but when college starts back in late August it will cut back significantly. So I'm not sure whether or not to go ahead with a co-sponsor. I do not work on salary my job is hourly based and i am paid weekly.  Thanks for any advice :)

Not knowing what Embassy you are processing through prevents us from responding to many of your questions. If you look at the profile others here, they have a flag for their country so it makes it easy for us to reply. Each Embassy has different set of process's and no two are the same.

So if you could help yourself out and complete your profile sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Depending on your Embassy can be as short as 1 month or sometimes up to 3 months. It depends on the Embassy and how fast you work. Again, since I don't know your Embassy, this is a wild estimation.

Thanks

hey @Greenbaum what about the embassy in Venezuela? I reserved a venue for september first two weeks... is it doable? :D:whistle:

Once you make the payment for the interview the turn around is 4 hours to 48 hours. Never have I heard anyone experiencing what you are. Stay in touch with the Embassy until they get it sorted out. BTW are you using the receipt number printed on the back of the MRV. It's not the number on the front.

I'm not a 100% sure it depends on your attainment of your case number and when your Embassy will let you schedule your interview. You could be ok.

If you can prove the $20,735 with documentation then there is no need for a co-sponsor. You are safe. School does not harm an application in fact it shows the income possibility based on your course of study.

Thank you for your service.

@Greenbaum Now I am very confused: The number on front is the same as the back, unless it is the number above the name with dashes.

The receipt number is the nine (9) digit number from the deposit receipt. Note: If you have a Bank of Philippine Islands receipt, your fee receipt number may be your passport number. If something other than your passport number appears in the area (4) on the graphic, use that information as your receipt number. This receipt number verifies your payment and allows you to schedule your visa interview. When scheduling online with the embassy you need to use the receipt number as shown on the payment receipt from BPI. You can schedule the interview online or by calling the numbers listed below.

For visa appointment related inquiries, please contact the Embassy’s Visa Information and Appointment Service at (632) 982-5555 or (632) 902-8930.  (703) 520-2235 (this is a USA number)

Try the link. it's fixed.

I paid mine last June 19 (11am) at BPI. Got our case number June 20, I was able to schedule interview via online (June 20, 12:20am) right away upon having the case number. Submitted the DS160 (June 19, 4pm).

However, lately BPI is having delay in processing transactions. Keep trying to set appointment.

Have you included your VA Benefits in that calculation even though they are non taxable or is that amount just what you reported on your taxes?
