Hi Everyone,

We got approved yesterday NOA1 14 Dec and NOA2 19 June 2018. I am not sure how to track the status to NVC. Is there anyone who can guide me through the last few steps.

I am from South-Africa so our Embassy work a bit differently than others. But any information will help me thank you.

You cannot "track" the status TO NVC but you can keep calling them to check if it's made it there. Start calling 14 days after your NOA2 date (603-334-0700, choose 1 for English and then 2). They will ask for your WAC# and once it has arrived they will ask for both the Peti's full name and DOB and the Bene's full name and DOB. Then you will wait again for them to assign you an NVC case number. Once they have your file you can inform them of the Bene's email address. I strongly suggest this as all correspondence will be now sent to the Bene. And then once you have your case number you can then use the CEAC Visa website to track your case from NVC to your embassy. You will use choose "immigrant visa" from the drop down menu and then input your NVC case number. It will start with the first 3 letters of your embassy.

Thank you for the advice. I will then do what you say. Our INS lawyer also said we have to leave it all in their hands. We have all our docs in place just wait for the NVC to get our case number and send our package 3 to embassy. Can you tell me what is the odds that the interview and Medical will be in July? Not sure how fully booked they are. I heard they only take the last 2 weeks of a month and just on Tuesdays and Thursdays for interviews.

Sorry but I cannot as that is a question based on your embassy in SA. Try searching for the topic in your embassy portal on here or posting your own question in that portal and you might find some filers who just recently made an appointment themselves. I, myself, am from Canada. Our embassy is slower than a turtle in slo motion.

After getting notified and receiving your NOA2 send an email to NVC asking for them to email both you and your fiancé if any updates occur. In the past they have replied when your case was received from USCIS, another when your case number has been assigned and when your case is being sent out to your Embassy without you having to make any further queries by phone. Here is where you send this information to:

Email address: NVCINQUIRY@state.gov

Subject: Your receipt #

Body: Petitioner's Complete Name Birthday ; Beneficiary's Complete Name Birthday

Or use the online form or both!

Yay! My fiancé got the hard copy of our NOA 2 yesterday (19 June) our notice date is 13 June. Will edit my timeline. I’m getting a little bit nervous for the next step, gosh lol. Inhale exhale repeat haha.

After 3 weeks I’ll gonna pick up my wedding👗, the next weeks are going to be busy 😁😁. Guys do you think mid or late Aug POE is realistic?
