Not knowing what Embassy you are processing through prevents us from responding to many of your questions. If you look at the profile others here, they have a flag for their country so it makes it easy for us to reply. Each Embassy has different set of process's and no two are the same.

So if you could help yourself out and complete your profile sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Depending on your Embassy can be as short as 1 month or sometimes up to 3 months. It depends on the Embassy and how fast you work. Again, since I don't know your Embassy, this is a wild estimation.

Thanks

I am processing from Abuja embassy Nigeria. what do you think?

Nigeria is a difficult Embassy to process through. My recommendation is to overload your evidence for the interview. Here a couple of study guides to you to use.

Fiance/Fiancee visas (K1s, K3s)

If your K1 or K3 petition has been approved by the Department of Homeland Security and you have received notification from the National Visa Center that your petition is on its way to post, you should download and complete the following application. The U.S. Consulate General in Lagos will contact you when your petition has arrived at post so that you may schedule your appointment. If you have questions, you may e-mail LagosIV@state.gov. [Click to open "Interview Preparatory Packet (K1, K3)"PDF 539KB] Also, please review the pamphlet “Information on the Legal Rights Available to Immigrant Victims of Domestic Violence in the United States and Facts about Immigrating on a Marriage-Based Visa.”  (PDF 53KB)

Okay everyone, our petition was approved June 11th,  so when is the best time to send the I-134 affidavit of support? Can I send it now to my fiancee while waiting for the NVC case number or do I have to wait till after the case number is available? I don't want to send it too early but if I'm sending it to the Philippines it could take up to 2 weeks. Also, do I need 1 month pay stubs and 2017 tax returns? I do know to have to send with the form a company letter head with the job title, length of service, and hourly wage Timing is everything so hope I can get some clarity on when to send off the affidavit of support. Thanks!!!

You can send it to him/her now I think. Every embassy is different in terms of evidence, and there's a ton of guides on here for the Philippines, so I'll let someone else point them out, as I've never gone and looked at them since I am Ukraine.

We front loaded our applicaiton with an I-134 and my lawyer said that is fine, but I made sure my fiance has a copy of it, plus my 2017 tax transcript, W-2, last pay stub, and employment verification letter.  None of that needs the case number. You'll probably need the case number before scheduling the medical exam and doing the DS-160 online, and whatever else Philippines might require.

Can I send it now to my fiancé(e) while waiting for the NVC case number or do I have to wait till after the case number is available? You can but see above.

I don't want to send it too early but if I'm sending it to the Philippines it could take up to 2 weeks. See my suggestion below.

Also, do I need 1 month pay stubs and 2017 tax returns? That and W2's. Best to get the IRS transcripts. You can download a copy while you are on their website and it's free.  https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript

I do know to have to send with the form a company letter head with the job title, length of service, and hourly wage Timing is everything so hope I can get some clarity on when to send off the affidavit of support. Thanks!!!

If you are sending documents for the interview I wouldn't trust snail mail. Who to use?  "When it absolutely, positively has to be there overnight." :D Will cost you about $75 to the Phil.

EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT. You should be able to demonstrate that you will not become a public charge or burden on the U.S. taxpayers for financial support. A completed I-134 Affidavit of Support Form may be useful to the consular officer to evaluate your petitioner’s ability to be financially responsible for you. You may also be asked to submit your petitioner’s most recent U.S. Federal income tax return (Form 1040) and wage statements (Form W-2). Employment letters stating salaries and bank statements may be included to substantiate the I-134. Download Form I-134 at http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis.

Visit Hanks website where he has taken the time and research, and of course it helps if you spent 8 plus years helping folks in the Philippines sub-forum get their visas, where he has listed each step. With those steps he includes the what, when and why to completing the item. Many have used the website and have had little or NO problems securing a visa from USEM.

Next you'll want to connect with those who are processing through the Philippines in the VJ Philippines sub-forum that way you will be with like minded ppl who are sharing their experiences and also asking and answering questions. Since most in this thread are processing through another country they would be hard pressed to explain what is needed for the Philippines.

Great informational points to bring up @Greenbaum

1) NBI: She recently fixed her middle name on all her paperwork. That took 8 months to fix. So should she run the NBI with both variations of her middle then? Better to be safe. She just updated her NBI this week. Is it bad she just ran the NBI for only her new name?
2) Birth Certificate: Yes
3) She only has lived in the Philippines.
4) CENOMAR: Yes

5) 4 Passport Photo's: Yes

Thank you for all of your wonderful help and support! :D

She just updated her NBI this week. Is it bad she just ran the NBI for only her new name? She needs to have the NBI in all variations of her name that were ever associated, even the misspelled names. If a name is missing and the CO discovers it you will get an RFE till your NBI complies.
