This is the easiest part of the whole process. The CO has already made of their mind. I doubt they will ask more then 3-5 questions. He'll be in front of the CO less then 15 min. Maybe more like 5. Good luck to the both of you.

Well everyone my fiancee Maria finally arrived yesterday from the Philippines and it is great having her  here safe and sound. Took nearly 2 hours for her to emerge from customs and border so I was sweating it wondering if she even made the flight from Korea to Vegas. Planning on a October wedding so hope everyone is well!!!

Medical examinations conducted in connection with immigrant visa applications have a maximum validity of six months and must be valid when you enter the U.S. The consular officer shall limit the visa’s validity to a period of validity of the medical examination. If the alien cannot arrive in the United States within six months of the date of the medical examination, the alien must repeat the examination. Once the immigrant has arrived the medical for a non-immigrant continues to be valid for the AOS to an expiration date of one year from medical completion in their home country or the country to which they are migrating from.

They prefer that your case be interviewed within that four month "window". The NOA 2 can be extended up to a year by your Embassy but with good reason and the Embassy doesn't need to extend the NOA2 for the "one" year from expiration. The new extension, if approved, will be for an additional 4 months. Extensions are in the form of 4 month extension with each approval till you reach one year. If you need to go beyond a year then you must go to the end of the line and begin the process from 129f over again and pay the fees. You must provide a reason for the NOA 2 extension when requesting the extension from your Embassy.

Now, my question is what does it mean: It's only for the interview for your visa.

[Do] we have to get married before that and have all documentation for adjustment of status sent to USCIS before October 8th. No it only pertains to the Embassy portion. For the AOS after marriage it's stipulated you must marry and submit your paperwork.

Also, if you guys can guide me to adjustment of the status forum so I do everything correctly for that. http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1k3aos

I think that pretty much answers all your questions. Good luck and we really really appreciate you! :D

Thank you so much... You are the best.

What are you checking?

CEAC immigrant website or non immigrant website?

No. Fees are all done until AOS.

Did they tell her what the next step is at the interview? Most Embassy's do. Have you checked the timelines of others from your Embassy? What does it say on the Embassy's website? What does it say in the P3 instructions? What do you think you could do to answer this question? Have you asked a resident expert in the sub forum for your country/region? Did you know that the processing times is different for each Embassy so most here wouldn't know the answer to your question?

Keep checking the CEAC website each day and it should be ready to ISSUE your visa. Once you receive it make sure all the information is correct, the name and birthdates and then you can book your flight. As far as I know there shouldn't be any more fees from U.S. immigration until it's time to do your adjustment of status after you get married. Good luck my friend!!
