The IO asked for my GC and passport, and I think I showed my DL either at Security or when I checked in.  I wasn't asked for any other documents at the interview -- but I had a three-inch-thick binder full of everything I'd uploaded with the original application, just in case they wanted to see any of it. 

 

I wasn't asked for tax documents, but I provided some at the interview anyway.  (I had uploaded tax transcripts for 2015-2017 with my application.)   The IO asked whether I owed any unpaid taxes and I explained that a 2018 tax transcript wasn't yet available because we made a minor error on our 2018 return and got the IRS equivalent of an RFE 😄 .  I had brought copies of the IRS notice and our response (sent within a couple of days of receiving the notice), including a letter admitting the error, a calculation of the extra tax we owed (only about $100), the additional schedule to our tax return and a printout of the online payment we made via the IRS Direct Pay webpage, showing that we had paid everything we owed.  She scanned all 8 pages and added them to my file.

Eighteen years in the US and I still don't understand Velveeta, TV ads for prescription drugs, only getting 2 weeks paid vacation, or why anyone believes anything they see on Fox "News".

We had our interview back on March 12th and was told it would only be a few weeks til approval. Fast forward to 90 days past when they were supposed to send us our approval and we had received nothing. So a call with USCIS finally got the local office moving and today June 27th we finally have notification that we have an oath ceremony scheduled and that also the 10 year GC is in the mail. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long for the oath ceremony to take place, but it's nice to finally see the light at the end of the tunnel! 

3/31/2015 - Sent package

4/2/2015 - Package received at Chicago lockbox

4/8/2015 - Receive txt and email NOA

4/13/2015 - Receive hardcopy NOA

4/16/2015 - Receive Biometrics appt for 4/28

4/22/2015 - Walk in biometrics completed

6/28/2015 - I-130, AP, EAD changed to Approved.

I was in the 11:00 am oath. Today I applied for my passport at the DC office, it was very efficient and very quick. I had an 8:00 am appointment and was out at 8:02 am.

I was in the afternoon oath ceremony...I didn’t even know there were multiple ceremonies on the same day. 

I applied for my passport at my local post office. Hopefully I will get it in 3-4 weeks.

No. They only provide the passport application but I strongly suggest filling out the application on the computer to keep it legible. I just walked-in at my local post office to submit my application and was done in 15 minutes.

Had my interview today and It went really well. Interview was at 10am we got there at 9:20am and was called by 9:55am, the best officer ever. I asked if my husband needed to come with me and she said Yes, as you have i751 pending so I told her my two babies were there with us cuz we didn't have anybody to care for them and she said oh don't worry it is totally fine. We got in her office, sworn in and she said let's start with  i751 asked for IDs and resident card, then reviewed the application where I needed to provide the answers and then said well you have two (2) kids there is nothing else I need to ask lol, I thanked her and she said let's move to N400 and we will start with the question right away. Asked me if I minded my family in the room with me while n400 interview was in progress and I said not a all, I would appreciate if they can stay with me so she conducted the interview with my husband and kids in there.

 

Questions:

1- what month do we vote for president?

2- what ocean is in the east coast?

3- who is your state governor?

4-what are to major political party in the U.S?

5-what did Abraham Lincoln do?

6-When was the Constitution written?

 

Then asked me to read:

 

When do we vote for president?

And told me to write we vote for President in November.

 

She didn't asked for any additional documents except my son's birth certificate cuz he wasn't included in the application as he wasn't born when we filed.

 

She gave me a paper to confirm all of my information were correct, and made me sign in the ipad twice. She then approved both cases and scheduled me for oath ceremony. They gave me the oath ceremony letter and it will be Friday 12th at 1:35pm so this Friday is a big day for me.

 

USCIS sites was updated right away to Your card is being produced and we emailed you oath ceremony.

 

Oakland Park FL office.

 

The officer was polite, calm and friendly we loved her since we saw her.

I wasn't asked for tax documents, but I provided some at the interview anyway.  (I had uploaded tax transcripts for 2015-2017 with my application.)   The IO asked whether I owed any unpaid taxes and I explained that a 2018 tax transcript wasn't yet available because we made a minor error on our 2018 return and got the IRS equivalent of an RFE 😄 .  I had brought copies of the IRS notice and our response (sent within a couple of days of receiving the notice), including a letter admitting the error, a calculation of the extra tax we owed (only about $100), the additional schedule to our tax return and a printout of the online payment we made via the IRS Direct Pay webpage, showing that we had paid everything we owed.  She scanned all 8 pages and added them to my file.

Congratulations to all who have successfully passed the naturalization.

 

A question, I have pending I-751 and N-400 and submitted in July 2018( N-400) in Baltimore, MD.

 After the N-400 submission till interview date, I have additional evidence. I have a 4 big folders.

 

My 1st question is : Is they allow big bag or small luggage to carry in the interview area?

 After marriage my wife change her last name and add my last name in her name.

   She filed USCIS for name change and it is still pending with USCIS. Although we have court order for her name change also.

 

My 2nd question is : My wife naturalization certificate is with USCIS and We have photocopy of  my wife naturalization certificate. I have a receipt that her name changing is in progress in USCIS.    

        Can i have to prepare r bring additional documents or anything for this ?

I'm guessing whoever worked our case didn't like us. She made the interview feel like an interrogation and said we were missing documents when we weren't. So she sat and waited til our request went over it's approval limit and I had to call the help center who finally got the case worker to approve my partners 10 year GC and oath ceremony. Everything was approved all in the same day, the day after we called them. We applied under the 3 year rule, so our case was a joint change of status from 2 year GC to 10 year permanent residence and citizenship filing. Also we just got the permanent resident card on Wed 7/11 

3/31/2015 - Sent package

4/2/2015 - Package received at Chicago lockbox

4/8/2015 - Receive txt and email NOA

4/13/2015 - Receive hardcopy NOA

4/16/2015 - Receive Biometrics appt for 4/28

4/22/2015 - Walk in biometrics completed

6/28/2015 - I-130, AP, EAD changed to Approved.
