I had my interview in Baltimore on 6/11 and everything went smoothly. I reached an hour early because of light traffic so after the security check, I had to wait for 30 minutes before I could check-in and get a token number. As mentioned in the interview letter they only want people to show-up 30 minutes prior to their interview time.

After 50 minutes or so, an officer called my name and escorted me to her office. My officer was polite and respectful. She kept the conversation very formal and to the point.

As expected, she verified my information and ran through all the yes/no questions. After that she took the civic test. Their system randomly selects 6 questions each time so you need to know all the answers anyways. My reading test was “George Washington was the first president.” and I was asked to write “Who was the first president of US”.

While reviewing my case, she asked for my marriage certificate, she also noticed that I had traveled outside the country after filing the application but she didn’t care as the trip was only 2 weeks long. She did ask me why I filed two I-140s (I ported from EB3 to EB2) and that was it. Overall the interview process was very straight forward and because of this forum, I knew exactly what to expect.

After approving my application, my officer chatted with me for couple of minutes and escorted me to the main waiting area.

The oath ceremony letter was uploaded online on 6/14. My oath is scheduled for June 25th and hopefully that will be the end of my immigration journey.

Congratulations..my interview is on june 27th in baltimore.you mentioned in your post that system randomly selects question so do we have to respond verbly or how does that work??

The questions are randomly selected by the computer system and displayed to the interviewing officer on his or her computer screen, which you cannot see.  The officer reads a question to you, you answer verbally, and the officer types your answer into the computer then moves on to the next question.   As soon as you have given six correct answers the officer will tell you that you have passed the test.

Eighteen years in the US and I still don't understand Velveeta, TV ads for prescription drugs, only getting 2 weeks paid vacation, or why anyone believes anything they see on Fox "News".

Congrats on your successful interview. Which documents did the USCIS office ask you for? Did she ask you for your DL?

Just wanted to close the loop! Last Friday, the 21st, I became a US citizen! My oath ceremony was touching, and was wrapped up in like 40 mins! There were immigrants from 52 countries represented, and it was really beautiful. I'm updating my timeline below, and best of luck to everyone still in the process! I'm wishing you all speedy (and positive) resolutions!!

The oath ceremony letter was uploaded online on 6/14. My oath is scheduled for June 25th and hopefully that will be the end of my immigration journey.

We are having our oath on the same day.

Today I had my oath ceremony. I am finally a US citizen.

I happened to attend the same ceremony as you in Baltimore, as well as interview on 6/11. Congratulations, fellow American!

Good luck to everyone else! The wait should be almost over for those still waiting.

Congrats on your successful interview. Which documents did the USCIS office ask you for? Did she ask you for your DL?

I was asked for my marriage certificate and drivers license. I think it's good idea to keep a copy of the application as well but that's about it.
