I'm curious, because a different filer, who hasn't posted here, had 8 days of wait time, and then her appt was scheduled, and it was ON day zero! I'm trying to gauge if that's a thing, because I'm supposed to leave for  Europe on June 13th, and my husband's wait time is 12 days, as of this morning.  😕  That puts him at early June if he has his interview on day zero (this other person and my husband have the same office, so I'm hopeful).  So, if you don't mind, when you find out your date, can you please say if it's on Day 0, and if not, how far off was it?

Of course, as soon as I know the exact date and I will let you know.

Is anyone in Houston going in for N400 interview on May 31?   Care to share recent interview experiences?  Is same day oath a possibility? Does Houston have more than one oath locations?  Thanks everyone

Has anyone had the same problem as mine?

I submitted the application online on June 26, 2018. And was scheduled for fingerprint on July 17, 2018. After that the case was estimated to be completed in July 2019. Early this month I checked and it still said that the case would be completed in July 2019. Unfortunately, I’ve checked the status of the case yesterday and it now has changed to April 2020!! How is that even possible? By the way, I’m in Maryland so the field is in Baltimore.

Dont fret over it. These estimated times are there so that we dont trouble USCIS. I'm from Houston, when I applied in June 2018 it showed an Estimated completion in May 2020 (it still shows that) and I received the interview notice in April 2019 (Less than a year from filing).

If you want a realistic time frame, follow the status of people who have filed a few months before you. That will be indicative of the current trend.

Hope it helps.

Hello all

I applied for n400 in june 2018 on 3 years marriage base.

I received an email today that my interview is scheduled for june 27 2019 in baltimore office.

The notice is posted in my online account and it says that i have to bring the notice, green card and any evidence of selective service registration.

My question is my dob is 17/11/1986 and i came to USA on december 1st 2012 and according to that i arrived after my 26th birthday.

Should i get any type of letter from selective service or just take my passport with me which has stamp on it from dhs. From what i understood  at the time is that if one arrives  in the  USA after their 26th birthday then he doesnt need to register for selective service.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Just your passport will be fine, I was 26 when I arrived and they never even mentioned selective service at my n400 interview. If they do ask all you have to do is say you were 26 when you arrived.

Are both estimated completion&wait changed? Or just one of them? And when did you get your interview letter. Thanks in advance for your answer.

Just the estimated completion time. I no longer have the estimated wait time because I already have an interview date. I received the interview letter on 05/08

I had my interview yesterday in Houston. I had 2:30 pm appointment. I got there around 1:30 pm. After "checking-in" I had to sit in the waiting area till 3:30 pm, which is when my name was called. By that time we were about 5-7 people left and waiting area was almost empty. After my name was called , I walked up to Door 1 and a lady officer greeted me and  we started the walk to her office. She apologized for the delay and we chit-chatted a little bit during the walk to her office. Once we got to her office she had me take the oath. Then she asked for the GC, DL and passport. She then asked questions to confirm my identity.

She then asked 6 civics questions, then took the reading & writing test. She then asked me for any travel updates and any other updates to my application. After making the changes, she went over the No & Yes questions. She said she didnt have the paper copy of my application package and the whole thing was online. I asked her if that was out of the ordinary and she said yes and went on to draw my attention to the folders in her office. She then reviewed my whole application while I sat there quietly. About 5 mins later she said she had approved my case and also stated that I will most likely be called for Oath Ceremony on 19th. She also went over the oath ceremony timings etc with me.  She said to wait for the oath ceremony letter but she said it is most likely going to the 19th.

I was her last applicant of the day. She walked me out to the door. I thanked her, shook her hand and walked out.

I then received 2 status update emails: one for approval and other for oath ceremony.

Congratulations to you.   My interview is on the 31st this month and hopefully I should be scheduled for oath on the 19th as well.
