Ok This is my experience. I had planned a trip several months before I got my interview letter. My interview date was June 23, 2017. I rescheduled because I couldn't cancel the trip. I wrote a letter explaining why I cannot come for the interview and requested a different date. I included copies of my-eticket and sent everything back to USCIS in certified mail in May 2017. I received my new interview letter in July 2017. My new interview date was August 07, 2017.

My I-751 is pending and waiting for N-400 interview. Upon inquiry to USCIS my I-751 and N-400 will be process at the same time. After marriage my wife changed her last name and removes her middle name in SSN, Voter id and all the documents. She applied for change in her naturalization certificate and USCIS change her last name and didn’t remove her middle name. When she requests them to remove her middle name, they said brings the court document affidavit and then applies again.

 

But they didn’t send the original naturalization certificate. She has only scan copy of naturalization certificate. Now she is going to apply for returning of original certificate.

 

My question: In my I-751 and N-400 interview, They ask the original naturalization certificate of wife ?

If yes since it is with USCIS what I am going to say for that?

We had our interview back in March and still no word. The interviewer was definitely not cordial at all and tried to second guess everything we were saying. She said she would approve our case but it would take a week or so to submit everything. It's been 2 months now and still nothing. It's getting absolutely frustrating checking and not seeing any change what so ever on our status.

Has anyone had the same problem as mine?

I submitted the application online on June 26, 2018. And was scheduled for fingerprint on July 17, 2018. After that the case was estimated to be completed in July 2019. Early this month I checked and it still said that the case would be completed in July 2019. Unfortunately, I’ve checked the status of the case yesterday and it now has changed to April 2020!! How is that even possible? By the way, I’m in Maryland so the field is in Baltimore.

On various websites I came across people bringing driving records from DMV. Is it necessary? How many of you are going to bring it with you?

It's not a must you bring these records if you don't have moving violations however, as with any other documents you are bringing along, it's always good to bring more than less. When I did mine years ago, I brought it along and he never bothered to check, my wife's interview is coming week and she will bring it along though she has no violations.

Mine changed too from June 2019 to Feb 2020 but I already have my interview letter. I just

So here are my thoughts on why it changed. As you know USCIS gives proccessing times in a range: first lower number is median for 50% of cases being solved within that time frame; second is for when 93% of cases are being resolved. I think earlier dhs account completion time incorporated the first argument in its calculation, but now they use second one to avoid people's anxiety (for all good reasons though, I am anxious myself!). This is just the hypothesis, however a probable one. We can only speculate about how and why they changed such approach. 

Stay positive, and still keep the first lower number of USCIS processing times in mind, as a possible resolution time for your case.

I'm curious, because a different filer, who hasn't posted here, had 8 days of wait time, and then her appt was scheduled, and it was ON day zero! I'm trying to gauge if that's a thing, because I'm supposed to leave for  Europe on June 13th, and my husband's wait time is 12 days, as of this morning.  😕  That puts him at early June if he has his interview on day zero (this other person and my husband have the same office, so I'm hopeful).  So, if you don't mind, when you find out your date, can you please say if it's on Day 0, and if not, how far off was it?
