Got the email notice today “We scheduled your naturalization ceremony”. Now just waiting for the actual Notice with date and time to show up in the documents section... Somehow waiting on anything immigration related always seems like it takes forever LOL

Congrats! How long does it usually take for the interview letter to show up online?

It took my account 24 hours, though I know some people get it faster!

Congrats! When you started the process what was the "estimated case completion" time for your case? Did it change at any point?

When I started my estimated case completion time was February (as you can see that was *not* the case). My estimated completion time never changed, but once February passed it just said "your case is taking longer than expected, if we need something else from you we'll let you  know" definitely paraphrasing there. Then on the 29th when they scheduled my interview that box changed to information about what I should bring to my interview. Thankfully I know some other folks in NYC who have had longer than expected processes or else I'd be completely loca by now lol. Hope that helps!

The online notice is finally up! “You are scheduled to appear for a Naturalization Oath Ceremony on: Monday, May 20, 2019 at 12:30PM”. So excited since it’s also my Birthday week! @ ReRe2015, I wish you all the luck in the world on Thursday and keep me posted if you Oath happens to be on the same day. Just to recap my timeline with Atlanta USCIS: application submitted online on June 18, 2018, fingerprints on July 18, 2018, then almost 9 months of “we are reviewing your application”... and finally interview on May 4th, 2019 (Saturday) with approval and Oath scheduled for May 20th, 2019. I want to give a little bit of hope to those who are still dealing with a stressful period of WAITING - my original estimated completion time on USCIS website always said December 2019 and obviously this journey will be over before the end of May 2019.

quick question for the group: did your estimated wait time jive with your appointment being scheduled?  We have a wait time of 24 days, but a case completion of 2 months (July 2019).  Insight?  It matters because right now I have a trip to Europe planned for June.  And I assume I'll need to be at the interview since it's a combo.  😑

When it comes to “estimated time” provided on official USCIS website then it actually refers to the competition of your case including interview and oath ceremony. This estimation is quite inaccurate in my opinion... Mine got updated from January 2020 to September 2019 even  AFTER the interview and approval and then I got a notice for oath 2 days later... There is of course another “unofficial” estimated wait time based on your USCIS center and  complexity of your case... (which is probably why a lot of us are on this forum - to compare notes and share insight :) ) As an example, my original estimated completion time on USCIS website was January 2020 (19 months), my application was based on permanent residency for 5+ years, no criminal or tax issues, service center in Atlanta. After some research on this forum it became very clear to me that even while some service centers are sagnificantly faster than ATL... the cases like mine generally take 11 to 12 months from start (application) to finish (Oath) and not 19 estimated months. Of course each individual case is unique so I was simply looking at similarities to mine and “estimated” timeline I came up for my scenario was pretty dead on - 11 months!
