I had my citizenship interview this morning and I passed! It was a combo interview for citizenship and my pending case of ROC. They were running about 30 minutes late, so we had to wait a while and then the officer took me in and said my husband doesn’t need to come with me even for the ROC part of the interview. It was the same officer who interviewed me 3 years ago for my conditional green card. He was super friendly and we talked about this and that a little. The interview took about 30 minutes total mainly because of the software being slow. I answered the questions off the form and gave 6 correct answers on the citizenship test, read and wrote a simple sentence and was approved on the spot.

My oath ceremony is October 18th!

Hi! I hope I did this right! We (hubby and I) applied through the 5-year with GC, but applied 2 months earlier than the due date - I think this may have an impact on the timeline we will face. Patiently waiting. Good luck to everyone waiting and congrats to those who are done!

I had my n400 and I751 interview. Here is my experience:

I751: I brought my spouse with me but he wasn't invited into the interviews at all. Just me and the IO. It took about 5 mins. Just asked me names, DOB, how we met and when we met, my spouse's name, DOB, current address. Quick and easy. And the IO said once he approved it, I probably would receive a new card and I need to return it at the oath ceremony if approved for N400.

N400: After confirming some identity information, we started with the civics and English test, they are all from the study book. As long as you can remember the answers from the book, then you are good to go. It took probably 10 mins and I was recommended for approval.

I was not asked to show any of evidence that I brought in with me.

The IO was very polite, friendly and professional.

Hey there,

I had an update notification a couple of hours after my interview. This notification to notify that they have approved my application. And then another notification stating that they have scheduled an oath ceremony date for me. These were just text/email notification, there were no updates on the website itself.

Then the next morning I received a case update notice and the website showed that I attended the interview and in line for the oath ceremony.

And then another hour or so later got another notification of document update and this time it was my oath ceremony letter which they uploaded on the website.

Have you heard anything back yet? Hopefully, you get your oath ceremony date soon enough. Best wishes.

Thank you for replying. No...I haven't heard anything back. At the interview, it looked like the IO wasn't aware of and didn't have my I751 application. But the IO conducted the combo interview anyway and handed me the recommendation of approval letter for N400. After that, there was no update at all for N400. But the next day, my I751 updated to "Case Transferred to New Office that Has Jurisdiction". Not sure if he just requested the actual application or not.

Mine was EB3 green card approved back in 2013.

My wife and i had N400 interview today . The wait time was more than 2 hrs because of system issues . We had our Attorney with us . My wife was first to be interviewed . , Civic , then read ,write then application questions, She came out smiling . then another IO called me . same thing civic , read , write then application review . My daughter name was misspelled . so correction was made ,.Will be waiting for our Oath letters. If you are wearing long sleeves please adjust before writing on their tablet because the tablet is sensitive. I will write more after my Oath ceremony. Good luck everybody .
