I had my interview at Buffalo today. It was really quick - in and out in about 10 minutes. The IO peppered me with a bunch of rapid fire questions, giving me barely a moment to think :) As a result I don’t remember all 6 of my civics questions, but the ones I remember are:

- Why did the colonists fight the British?

- Name the Vice President

- ....

 

She didn’t want to see any of my other documents. I’d forgotten to put two traffic tickets on my N-400, but she didn’t care as long as there wasn’t an arrest involved, which there wasn’t. She also didn’t make any note of the fact that I’d travelled three times outside the country since the application.  

 

She only asked for three documents: Passport, Green card and social security card. I didn’t have the social security card on me (wasn’t on any list I’d seen), but she said it didn’t matter. 

 

My oath ceremony will be on 9/17 in the morning. 

 

@love_my_wife (or someone else), would you be able to update the list for me?

Hi everyone! I have a pending I-751 Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence and I received a letter in the mail today that we are scheduled for I-751 interview in October. 

 

Since I also have a pending N-400 application, is there a chance that they will do a combo interview for I-751 and N-400? Is there anyone here that is in the same boat as me?

oooooooooo That's super interesting!!  We're in your same boat (May 2017 I-751 application and the same office!), so I'm very hopeful that they'll do a combo interview.  (please please please)  We can't be too far behind you, if this is how they're rolling.  When in October?

OATH TAKING = september 18, 2018 in springfield armory, massachusetts officer gave me the oath schedule right after the interview. he told me to wait outside and sit and wait for the paper for the sched interview.
FIELD OFFICE= The Whitcomb Building in Springfield MA.( was under lawrence, massachusetts field office)
The officer who interviewed me told that they do 2x a month interview at The whitcomb building in springfield Ma but they are from laurence , MA field office.

Congratulations! My oath taking ceremony which is supposed to be held on Sept. 20 was cancelled because of hurricane Florence. USCIS emailed me telling that it will be rescheduled but no info yet 🙁.

Sorry about that! Spokane office is not super slammed, so I am sure yours will be scheduled shortly! Meanwhile  I can’t believe my interview is in less than 2 weeks! I make my husband test me every night even though I memorized everything already. Can’t wait to be done dealing with formalities!

It has been 2 months since my case status on USCIS keeps showing "At this time USCIS cannot provide you with information for your case. Please contact the USCIS Contact Center at 1-800-375-5283 for additional information."

 

I thought this bug should have been resolved months ago? For folks who have had their interview letters sent, are you still seeing this bug for your IOE case number?

I-130 JOURNEY FOR 2020 Minor Child of LPR (F2A Online Application, MNL Consular Processing)

07/29/20 Online Filing for I-130, Same day Priority date 
07/31/20 Paper NOA1 mailed by USCIS, received on 08/03/20

07/31/20, 08/15/20, 09/01,20 Expedite Requests denied three times (self-submission and congressman outreach)

09/28/20: I-130 Approved by USCIS, received mailed NOA2 on 10/01/20

10/01/20: NVC electronically receives I-130 petition from USCIS, generates NVC case & invoice number, paid all NVC fees same day

10/05/19: CEAC ready for document uploads

TBD: Waiting for NBI Police Clearance to complete all upload of NVC docs

@prettyjackie it's very odd that Lawrence, MA office is moving cases 2 months faster than the Boston, MA office. Do you mind if I ask which city you're from in MA? I curious to know which cases they direct to Lawrence and which to Boston

 

@USBoston Can you share how you found out your interview letter was sent out? Did you get an email alert? Funny thing is that you filed 4 days prior to our case but we did walkin biometrics 2 weeks prior to you completing yours and yet we are still waiting for interview letter whereas you got yours already on 8/30
