I don’t think early walk-ins have any effect on priority dates. I filed in February, a January filer from my field office did an early walk in and got his interview notice 92 days after filing. I didn’t do an early walk-in and I got my notice 91 days after filing. And another February filer from my field office who filed 5 days after me did her biometrics early (2 days after I did mine) and she didn’t get her interview notice until 2 weeks after me. 

 

Plus those estimated case completion times are very inaccurate. I initially had a completion time of March 2019, but I’ve already had my interview and just waiting for my oath ceremony to be scheduled.

@CTgal18  This forum is littered with lots of back and forth on whether early biometrics walkin has an impact with evidence to substantiate both sides. Early walk-in biometrics appointment may have an impact on offices that clear cases quickly (like Boston). My guess is that for offices with a large case or slow moving backlog, it may not impact the filing timelines. It is too early to tell for my case but only time will tell.

Did any of you guys send passport pictures for your 400 form? I'm in the checklist form for 400 and it says " Only applicants who reside outside the United States must provide two identical color photographs taken recently"

Hello @goldenaida, if you reside outside the US then you must submit the photographs as noted in the checklist. If not, then you don't need to do so.

Hi guys

I'm new to this group and I have some questions and hope someone can give advise.

I have successfully removed my conditional status this month and I got my 10 years green card already.

I'm planning to file N-400 based on 3 years rules (Married to US Citizen).

Below are the docs and evidences I have prepared to include on my N-400 application:

 

*I-551 card and approval letter

*Marriage Certificate

*IRS transcript for 3 years 2015-2017

*US Citizen spouse's Birth Certificate and Passport

*Health Insurance Policy for 4 years 2015-2019

*Join Account Bank Statements - March to May 2018

*Bank Reference Letter

*Apartment Lease Renewal for 2017

*Cellphone statements Family Plan - March to May 2018

 

My question are, would it be better to include all the joint bank statements from the last time I filed for ROC which was May 2017?

Meaning should I include June 2017 to May 2018 joint account bank statements or latest 3 months joint account bank statements would suffice?

Not sure if the online system will allow me do upload it since it will be a huge file size. Also, please let me know what else can I include for my N-400 application.

My guess is that for offices with a large case or slow moving backlog, it may not impact the filing timelines. It is too early to tell for my case but only time will tell.

I think it also matters if you file 90 days early or not.  If you do, you can't be naturalized before your X-year anniversary, so walking in for biometrics could be a hurry up and wait exercise.

In Line: Date you received e-notification about the start of your interview scheduling
Int Ltr: Date you received the official letter in the mail regarding interview
Interview: Date of your interview
Oath: Date Oath taken

Field Office: Your local USCIS office where you will have the N-400 interview

4/8/2015 - Receive txt and email NOA

for those of us applying online: Where did you see your NOA date?  And also, are you receiving a biometrics appt via actual mail, or on the uscis site? 

K1 Visa timeline:

07/25/2014 - Johan arrives in Los Angeles!

08/02/2014 - AOS, EAD, AP applications mailed. 

11/17/2014 - K2 gets an interview waiver letter in the mail (dated November 12th) (K1 has never gotten this letter)

08/24/2015 - Green cards are FINALLY in hand after nearly 13 months of waiting.

05/01/2017 - ROC application sent 

05/02/2017 - CSC receives our package

05/31/2017 - biometrics appt (Oxnard, CA)

06/19/2018 - ROC still pending with no news but that wonky glitch back in February, so we went ahead and filed for citizenship
