I thought Fprints specifically meant the Date assigned for fingerprinting (in my case 7/5) and not the actual date of the walkin (in my case 6/18) and not the date when the biometrics letter was mailed by the USCIS (in my case 6/15)?

@PauPauI don't know about your ASC but I was told that the Boston ASC is very quiet towards the end of the day but is super busy in the mornings. For example, the Boston ASC closes at 4pm. If we went in at around 3:15pm there was only 1 family there for some reason. I'm sure if you go there 5 minutes before opening time it probably would be easy to get it as well. Again no promises each ASC is vastly different.

Perfect timing, your response.  I was just thinking about that.  Did you already have your biometrics letter with an appointment date/time, or did you just walk in when you received your NOA?  We should have already received our biometrics appointment letter, but no luck.  And we're on the verge of moving and I don't want to change my mailing address until I get the biometrics letter.

You're right.  Early walk-ins should be in blue. No one remembers that rule anymore.

I have seen people turned away without a biometric letter.  I don't think the NOA is sufficient, but offices may vary.  The guy ahead of me didn't have a letter, and was still meeting with an agent long after I'd been in and gone.  Just an opinion, of course.

Just a minor update for me, if you could?  My NOA date is missing in the chart...it is 06/06 (same as application date and payment cashed date).  Thanks.

Completed early walk in today with PDF biometric letter printed off my account. no issues , account updated to "being actively reviewed, nothing is outstanding at this point". All fingerprints and photo. Estimated time of completion Sept 2019, 5 years 8 months after we were married.

@PauPau for your next update can you change my Fprints date from 6/16 (date I got my biometrics letter sent email alert) to 6/18 (which is the actual biometrics walkin date)

Perfect timing, your response.  I was just thinking about that.  Did you already have your biometrics letter with an appointment date/time, or did you just walk in when you received your NOA?  We should have already received our biometrics appointment letter, but no luck.  And we're on the verge of moving and I don't want to change my mailing address until I get the biometrics letter.

@Maxheadspace Just print the PDF letter from your myuscis account. you dont need the physical mailed letter for a walkin. the online PDF version printout is good enough- it looks the same as the mailed one except for the lack of a header (which most ASC security folks wont even know it's missing)

 

Interesting, when I filed my N-400, the myUSCIS shows an estimated 7 months completion. After my biometrics walkin 17 days prior to scheduled, it now shows an estimated 6 months completion. So it looks like walk-ins when done several weeks ahead of scheduled does make an impact on the case processing faster.

@Kitti My status after biometrics is the same as yours on the USCIS case status website https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do -  "Case is being actively reviewed, nothing is outstanding at this point". Oddly the myUSCIS DHS website https://my.uscis.gov/account/applicant shows slightly different verbiage- "We reviewed your biometrics. You do not need to do anything at this time". 

 

I've noticed that the USCIS case status website provides faster and more real-time updates whereas the myUSCIS DHS website is slower to update.

Updated @ultrasoul! WOW, that is really interesting to track and see if an early walk-in impacts the priority dates. It makes me want to go to our local ASC office now :D My completion date shows 13 months though.
