Hi everyone! I have a question and I'm really confused of what my husband should do.

Is it important that the primary agent of living will is the spouse who petition me? What if he wants his sister (doctor) to be the primary and I'm the secondary, do you think it would have a bad effect on the RFE? I told my husband that I should be the primary since I'm the spouse, what would the immigration think if he makes me the secondary. Not sure if it's a big deal or not. Any comment would be appreciated. Thank you.

He's saying that 'cause his sister is a doctor, but I told him will she take care of you if you get sick especially she lives in a different state. He is being a headache, as usual. But I'm thinking it might not be a good thing since this is for bona fide marriage. I don't mind not having me as primary, but since I know it's for immigration it might not look good for the person reading it. Besides, he need to trust me isn't it?

i agree. IMO it should'nt affect your bonafide marriage, but it is up to the IO that reviews your case who ultimately decides what to do. Just make sure you have other types of bonafide marriage proof that will increase your chances of a successful filing. The more proof you got, the better

Thank you for the input. Will talk to him about it, hopefully he agree to be safe. We do have other proof, but no joint account except hsa account. I just explained why, crossed fingers.

From what I could read here in visajourney....the financial mingling of accounts of the couples is what they look for. Bank accounts, credit cards, joint medical, utilities, beneficiary of HSA, life insurance, and the list goes on.

Yeah, I've been reading about it on on this website. We don't have any joint account except for HSA, he didn't have CC before we got married due to the experience from the previous wife so I had to apply my own and eventually added him as authorize user, though only recently. But better than nothing, we have to explain why. Life insurance beneficiary is the daughter and didn't include me to any percentage of it so I'm a little worried of this part since it shows on his bank account. Do you think that would matter? Will it be bad to see that I'm not part of his life insurance?

Even if it is for just short term, i would try to convince your husband and he can always set up a certain limit on his credit card for his spouse and change his mind as for beneficiary and all that. I have doubts too, but I trust my wife and took the risk of doing all this so she can go sliding through till citizenship one day. Best of luck and hope the evidence you provide helps you out.

Actually, my husband don't have cc before we got married due to the previous wife. So, I had to apply my own so I can start building my own credit history. I have to add him up recently as authorized user just to have a joint account. I know it doesn't look good but hoping it will be okay as I read some of the people who have issues with RFE are the same. Sigh, I mentioned the life insurance a few times long time ago but he is ignoring it. I guess you're a better husband to your wife as I can see that you really care and truly love her. It has nothing to do with the life insurance but the thought counts big time.

Thank you, I'm hoping that everything will be okay. Will be mailng the documents this week so I can't add any of those anymore.

My 2 cents opinion...i didn't travel half the world to find my better half and leave her to these possible problems.  Best of luck to you anyways.
