NVC Filers - June 2018

Hi! So we finally received our # case number on Friday! 

Today I filled out my ds261 

and now it needs to be reviewed! 

How long does that usually take? 

Also does the invoice # they send in the email differ from the one you received with your case number?

not really seeing a answer for this but our case is now at nvc and I was told by the CO that I need to wait for my letter to come by mail.  I started the DS160 online.  Is that ok or am I really supposed to wait for that letter.

I completely agree with you!

my documents have been rejected twice , because of lawyers mistakes some were also accepted at the same time. but luckily NVC just asked for those exact documents to delete and re upload them. i sent my documents at the end of april.

My husband and I are doing it by ourselves. We've been quite unlucky with NVC process. Whatever step we are on, NVC decides to slow it down. Then we got a checklist, can't figure out how to remove my father in law as a joint sponsor, talked to 3 reps at NVC and none of them knew how are we suppose to do that. Each of them said something different and none of it was right. Then my husband called the 4th time and a lady said we need to send a written request to NVC in order to remove him as a joint sponsor...Extremely frustrating! Good luck to you!

How long normally takes once they transferred case to supervisor after 8 weeks mark?  They asked for my name including spelling etc. Seems like they dnt have my information with them.

I received email saying that I got a new message on CEAC, and when i logged in it was DOCUMENTARILY QUALIFIED.

Ours took 8 weeks and 2 days. When they asked if I wanted it to be transferred to a supervisor I told them i'd give it a few more days since I had heard that having it sent to a supervisor would extend the wait time.

People from last week of april are still waiting for a case number.  U have alot of time .. hang in there.
