I think it is CC when you get an email from them saying your are documentarily qualified and NVC will schedule your interview next. AT NVC status just means you have submitted initial docs they asked for and NVC has reviewed them and took some action. They could still ask you for more docs and send you a checklist.

NVC recived: 04-25-2018

Week 8 still no case, just called she said wait until Thursday if no case num will forward to a supervisor.

Why i have to wait until then ,, why is not done automatically since i m the 8th week,

Why cases recived after mine got case #already

People with case been forward to a supervisor how long did u wait to get case # ?

Thank u

My daughter’s case had to be exactly 8 weeks for them to forward to a supervisor.

I called that morning early and had them send it,    then I called again after 5pm and was told that the case was created and I was provided the number over the phone.

So for me it was done in less than a day.

05/11/18 case # over the phone

05/14/18 recvd welcome letter with invoices

When I was told it was forwarded to supervisor, 2 weeks later or so I was told it has not been done. First time they said they will forward it, was in the end of May. Still no case number today.

82 days since NVC received it, no case number. It has been apparently forwarded to supervisor but no result. Is there tier 2 when calling the NVC? Is there any point to even request to speak with anyone higher than the first person who answers to phone?

Has anyone here had any experience with petitioning for a step child?  Is consent required from the non immigrating parent? If so, at what part of the process is this required?

thanks

I was just asking because we got a checklist too... but it was for 2 different things... one was my fault and another one was just extra stuff that they asked (w-2). So my husband's part is accepted even though we also uploaded the extra stuff.. and mine is submitted because it was a mistake. :dead:

Wait a w-2 is required? Oh no, I only submitted tax return and paystubs

Yes. I submitted IRS transcripts. Everyone on the form told me I didn't need to include W2. NVC accepted all my docs and still asked me for copy of 2017 W2s.

Ugh, that sucks! I thought I read the requirements so thoroughly :( was really hoping for an August interview but looks like I'll get a checklist for sure for the W-2
