Hi,

I just paid the AOS fee and submitted DS 261 last Friday. Do you get a different invoice number for the immigrant visa fee? Thanks.

Same invoice number and case number. You still have to pay IV fee ($325) before you can do DS260 and NVC processes your case. Immigrant visa fee ($220) is due after the interview, if you are granted a visa.

Hi everyone,

Im not sure if this has been asked before but what does "At NVC" status mean? I am a bit confused because we already got an email for my interview schedule  and Im instructed to undergo medical examination. Does it mean our case is closed with the NVC? I will highly appreciate any feedback with regards to this. Thank you so much :)

Our case was sent to NVC last June 1st.  We called last Thurs, the agent confirmed that they already received it and it's already in the mail room and told us to call a day after.  We called again as advised but the new agent told us that our case is still not in their system and they could not determine the date received, told us to calll after 2 weeks again to check if there's will already be updates :(

Does that mean that we don't have a Scan date yet? Do you know if what they mean that once our case is in their "system", the case number/IIN should already be provided?

If you got the interview appointment letter, the case is 100% closed :) At this point "At NVC" basically means the case is still at NVC and hasn't been shipped to embassy.
