Yup that’s right.

But even the information you’ll dig out can be useless in your case, because it’s really hard to tell how long will one certain case take. It can only give you an estimated timeline. Which is VERY frustrating, because there are our lives and our families at stake.

Yes, what you said is so true, it is so frustrating...

I think Pakistan is Pivot. You go to https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx and login with case id and invoice number.

You then pay two fees:

1. AOS - $120

2. IV - $325

then they process your fee and it takes 3 to 5 days. After your fee is processed you go online and fill form DS260 and submit civil docs and AOS

You need case and invoice number to fill out ds261 and pay the fees. Go to https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx

Well, you have to submit the fee, complete DS260 and then submit all the docs including AOS. Once you submit everything, NVC can take a month or more to complete your cases. Then they send schedule an interview with your local consulate. That is ~ another 2 months of wait.

Your best bet right now is to focus on AOS and civil documents. The sooner you submit them to NVC, the better.

plz help me that which year  tax file I have to send to nvc ?

2017 (required). and 2016 and 2015 (optional)

If you can print out IRS transcripts, even better. You then need to send those in along with your W2 for the current year (2017).
