Yes, it does but I know in my case, it is not a cc.

I was travelling for a few days but called on Friday to ask about my international birth certificate. The operator told me that they will likely deny it.

Frist checklist for three international birth certificates in one document. I resend those three birth certificates in separate files. Second - to be anticipated checklist - for the international birth certificate as they are looking for the German word of birth certificate whereas the international one states "Certified copy of birth registration record" (I don't have it in front of me but somewhere along the lines of that). I am at loss for words because wouldn't one expect them to point this out right away? It is an official birth certificate in three languages as a standard given the nature of the European Union. The operator told me that they are looking for a German one, the super old format from way-back-when. I don't even think I have one, to be honest.

I would expect a document to be denied for every reason (multiple documents and the "wrong" one) and not as a piecemeal.

Don’t think you’ll get a checklist for the international Form of Birth Certificate. I used the same based on this link it should be ok:

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/Germany.html

i‘m also from Germany and was thinking a lot about this as well before. But the international one states exactly what they also mention in this link „Auszug aus dem Geburtseintrag“.

Well, because of this i think it wouldn’t be fair to give you a checklist for this. But please keep me updated as soon as you know something. Good Luck 🍀

May I ask you, what kind of marriage certificate did you upload? Also the international form?

I agree with you but unfortunately I know a German who did and called the NVC because of that. The international one does not spell Geburtsurkunde I was told. I also know previous cases where it was no issue at all. So really, I don't know - literally.

We used the marriage certificate from the US and that one got accepted.

Good Luck to you 🍀

What exactly is NVC looking for here. Passport photo or general photos of us as a couple as an evidence?

I called NVC and the lady said I can upload anything there I want. NVC doesn't review them and we will just need to take passport sized pics to the interview.

Now I am confused. If NVC doesn't need it, why are they asking for it?

And also there is nothing about Photos on NVC help site: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/collect-and-submit-forms-and-documents-to-the-nvc/step-5-collect-supporting-documents.html

I was also confused about this part.

I uploaded 1 2-pc passportstyle photo, and as additional documents I uploaded some pictures of me and the wife as proof of relationship.

But yes, very confusing, even though it's so simple.

We submitted the documents on the same day (May 24th). Well, in my case, we resubmitted. Could you please let me know when you hear back from the NVC? That should hopefully help us to see how far they have gotten with their files.

I will do the same!

Of course I will. By guessing I would say we’ll know more by Friday or Monday next week. At least I hope so.
