I need some help!

Me and my U.S spouse are living over seas and we need to work on the proof of domicile. Can anyone give us more ideas what we can include?

We're both gonna be students once we move and waiting to move before we apply to colleges. Furthermore, we are planning on living on campus or renting, so we included some emails about this.

What else can we add? I feel that it's pretty empty.

Check this site out: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/collect-and-submit-forms-and-documents-to-the-nvc/establish-financial-support/i-864-affidavit-faqs.html under domicile.

Does your spouse own any property in the US if so include proof of that, bank account in the US, valid US drivers licence.. Hm can't think of any more right now. The best would be if your spouse got a US job and sign an apartment lease but I understand that's not your plans. How about the current job your spouse has? Can it be categorized as a US job? For example through an American company, military etc?

BTW: Anyone know if it is normal to get invoice before case number? Should I call back again and see if another person at NVC can give me case number? Thanks!

yeah that's normal.

They have only had your petition for 3.5 weeks, wait until 9th July ( 8 weeks) for the case number to be assigned.

Expect an email from the NVC (if you gave your email address on your i-130 application), with the case number and invoice number.

In the mean time, gather civil documents, and financial documents,  that will be required to be uploaded for the pivot petition processing.

:)

NOA1: 7th June 2017

NOA2: 31st January 2018

Sent from USCIS: 12th February 2018

Received by NVC: 16th February 2018

Started telling me they never received petition since: 22nd march 2018

Started saying they magically received petition: 26th March 2018

"there is no time frame for case number assignment": 18th May 2018

Case number assigned & fees sent: 22nd May 2018

Fees "PAID": 27th May

AOS & DS-260 with Civil Documents submitted online: 3rd June 2018

Case Complete: 14th June 2018

Received email with interview date scheduled: 12th July 2018.

Interview @ Dublin embassy: 2nd August 2018 DENIED!  (421 days since NOA1).

(incorrect spelling and missing middle name on police certs)

31st August: did my 2nd medical cert, because 1st one expired.

14th September: official APPROVED.

Currently: waiting for DPD courier to tell me my visa is ready for collection at my local depot.

Oh, the lady on the phone said I would be getting it within the next few days in an email? That's unfortunate to hear July 9th

I'm confused by some of the terminology being used.

We received our case number May 05.

Paid our fees May 11.

Receipt for fees May 14.

We're a pivot case, so everything was uploaded.

Submitted (Scan date??) May 22. (We had to wait for a Tax transcript)

On the CEAC site our case says: at "NVC", fees state "PAID", and documents show "SUBMITTED"

I've read earlier posts saying that "at NVC" means "case complete"??

I called the NVC a few days ago to ask where we were in the process, and the agent said check back (on the site) and when

the "SUBMITTED" changes to "APPROVED" it will then be moving onto scheduling an interview.

Normal. That is what happened to me and a couple of days later (today) i got the email with both case and invoice numbers. I guess that means they are almost done creating the case number for you

Good news everyone,

After 8.5 weeks I received my case and invoice number through email.  It came in the form of the welcome letter.  They also sent me the $120 bill to pay.  So I assigned myself as an agent and paid the $120 dollar bill.  I might wait till next payday to pay the $325.  :)

So i just received the email and logged into CEAC and paid both fees. Both said in process This is a pivot case. I don't have to fill out the DS261, correct? I dont see it anywhere...
