I got an email this morning with the information including case #, invoice # and how to access the system.

Wow.. seems pivot cases are moving faster than non pivot now. Same received date, fingers crossed

Unless you are a PIVOT case you have to wait until the DS 261 is reviewed for your IV bill to open, to expedite IV bill you should call NVC and have a representative review the ds 261 otherwise IV bill will open some days after they get to reviewing your DS 261 on their own time.

Thank you. You are right. I called yesterday and they confirmed with me the agent information for ds261 that i sent. She told me waiting for a week to make the payment. Im checking the website every hour jajajaja. My case is not pivot. Thank you very mucho por your advise.

The same story here. The status changed to "at NVC " and we got an email asking to submit additional documents.

Thanks for confirming. "At NVC" status is basically a red herring then. Wish I hadn't been so hopeful when I saw that status update just to have an anvil dropped on me.

And how do you know it's not in line for the interview?

I called to ask if the case has been documentarily qualified and is in line for an interview. Answer was no. Asked 3 different reps.

This is so weird to me. I got a checklist for a bad passport document and it said rejected. Everything else was accepted however they left me a note about tax documents and needing me to upload a W2 (even though I explained in my I-864 that I don’t have one due to foreign earned income). I have called NVC twice now and both reps said that the note I received was to just bring my W2 or a letter explaining why I didn’t have one to the interview and that I didn’t have to upload it. I only had to upload the document that was rejected.

There is zero visibility into the NVC processes and we rely on each others goodwill for information. Hope you get your passport accepted soon, sounds like it could happen if it was an outright reject rather than an "submit more !@#$ that we already have from I-130"

It’s super frustrating for sure. Do

you mind me asking what NVC is requesting you to upload?
