That's intense that they don't have any leeway for military even, and dreadfully wrong in my opinion. Has your husband asked his unit for help with expediting or have you tried to submit an expedite request to NVC already? I know that the army has some avenues into fast tracking citizenship, but not sure about spousal sponsorships. Might be worth a try anyways since I think an expedite request is just an email away for NVC.

Well, if he would deploy for a few months, we could ask for an expedite but in all honesty - while this is a major pain, it doesn't really justify an exemption. I live in a safe country, he is underway frequently and I take care of things but there is no sense of emergency involved. One NVC lady mentioned that route to us but we felt it wasn't justified in terms of hardship.

Great advice thanks a lot.

I am the petioner for my parents, Can you tell me if my parents birth cerificate from Ecuador needs to be apostille and translate please?

From what I understand, every document that isn't in English needs an English translation. However, I don't believe it needs to be apostilled.

Hi guys,

NVC received our case May 1st then husband called last Friday and was told that they are already doing “quality checks” on our case and soon we’ll be receiving our case number.. I wonder what that means.. but knowing that we’ve been getting the run around with this whole process, maybe it meant Nothing really but basically wait and wait some more 😅

Hey there,

Expect it by Last week of June or First week of July.....wait wait wait...

Hi everyone here! We submitted our documents on May, 15. Last night my husband got an email where they ask to add some more documents. And I have just checked the status and it says "At NVC" Does it mean case complete? Or we still should upload those additional documents? Any ideas? Thank you for help

Allegedly that means you bring those additional documents to the interview and your case is complete. Unless it specifically says otherwise.

Nebraska Service Centre / Frankfurt Embassy

2016/03/30 - Married!

2017/07/14 - Sent off our I-130 packet to the Chicago Lockbox (Filed from abroad)

2017/07/24 - NOA1 (sent to Nebraska)

2018/03/02 - NOA2 (Approved!)

2018/03/19 - "We sent your petition to the Department of State"

2018/03/23 - NVC received petition

2018/05/17 - Case# received and fees paid

2018/05/21 - Case# changed -- can't log in with the new one so "we've sent in a 'ticket' to get it fixed"

2018/05/22 - Scan date. Ticket worked, submitted all our paperwork until the wee hours of the morning.

2018/06/11 - CC!!! "Documentarily Qualified"

2018/06/25 - Got interview date for July 11; but we must reschedule for August.

2018/06/26 - Medical

2018/06/28 - New interview date received (for August 13th)

2018/08/13 - Interview in Frankfurt!!! They asked for certified translations.

2018/08/28 - Sent in translations

2018/09/06 - CEAC status changed to "ISSUED!!!"

2018/09/13 - Passport received in the mail! Everything is beautiful.

NOA 2 4/4/2018.

NVC received case 4/26.

Called NVC 6/1 and was told that my case was to be completed through CEAC but that I would have to wait at least another 3 weeks for a case number. Received email on 6/4 with case and invoice numbers.

Someone had told me that UK does not do PIVOT cases. Did they just start this recently?

If I recall correctly from other posters, yes, UK recently switched to PIVOT. You got your case number quickly so congrats.
