for non pivot cases is there another way to know if your case is completed besides the fees that show as N/A and the case status as 'Case at NVC'?

Since I got the case number my case status shows as 'case at nvc' so I wonder how else would I know?

When it says 'at nvc' on this link, then it means you have a CC. On CEAC website, it always says 'at nvc'.

out of the topic question. but if anyone knows anything about this that would be nice, since all of will go through this after obtaining this visa.

after entering USA, do we have to apply a green card or do we just get it by mail as SSC? i remember checking the column for Social security card to get via mail. i dont remember if there was anything about green card. recently i heard that someone attended a green card interview in USA. it got me confused. anyone has any knowledge about this? thanks

Is it true police certificate is only valid for 6months?

it should be written on the that PCC. every country has different story. in Pakistan PCC is valid for 3 months from the date of it's issuance.

but when you send it to NVC i dont think they mind even if it's expired if you've submitted it before it was expired.

This is the same link I used to check my status everytime, but it always says 'at nvc' even right when I got the case number.

We experienced the same thing. When you check the status - it always says 'At NVC'.
