My NVC receive date was 5/3. I called today for the first time after calling to confirm my case had been received. I chose option 7 when I called and after waiting for half hour was told to call back at choose option 5 because this case was an electronic processing case (PIVOT, which i knew) and they could not look up the details. So i called back, chose option 5 and waited for another half hour. The second person told me that an Invoice number had been assigned which he gave me over the phone but a case number had not been assigned (invoice number starting with ivsca...). I asked how much more should I wait and his response was that this case would be "overdue" on June 29th. So I asked does that mean I should expect case number between now and 29th and he said if "I dont get a case number by 29th I should call". He did ask me to verify the usual things about beneficiaries and petitioner's name and beneficiaries date of birth before giving me the Invoice number

Is that what everybody's experience is with pivot cases? Invoice is assigned first and then the case number takes another few weeks? I  think I remember reading somewhere in the forums here that it the other way around where people got the case number first and the Invoice number after?

Option 7 is for What?

Not true. My brother has sent documents to NVC with signature confirmation in the past and they signed and accepted it.

Luck for you. But I am aware of (because I work at law firm) a lot of cases that were rejected because of requiring signature.

Thanks, I did indeed after getting off plane. Twice in fact. Basically told to wait for checklist which is ridiculous, but what I'm really worried about now is that they say the upload date shows as today so I'm not sure if I've effectively reset my wait counter for cc without the checklist, which opens the chance that we'll still get a checklist weeks later anyways.

I swear, if my spouse hadn't signed a lease in US already, I'd be saying let's give up and just stay in Canada. In fact, thoughts of that possibility are definitely entering my mind more and more now as this drags on.

Skyzee, don't worry too much - If I recall correctly others were able to change their documents until the last minute.

Ha! Same thoughts here, today. I love my job, we bought a beautiful place here (to keep as a second home), the kids are happy and roaming around and almost no gun violence to worry about ever, a universal health care system, free education... you name it! BUT I love my husband and for some he will not be happy here in the long run and as a forever solution. I have lived in different cultures, across the globe more or less all my adult life. So any adjustment is somewhat easier for me. However the NVC process is testing my patience. Not knowing when to plan what is really affecting me.

But I really didnt expect the NVC stage to take so long!

I even called today and inquired about our current status as my husband is underway (active military): I got the same answer as usual that it may take up to six weeks to review the resubmitted documents.

Hi! Same here! April 27th receive date (although NVC has officially my petition from March 14th) and received right now only invoice number over the phone and said that it's on last stages to be put on the system before case number is issued but no timeframe given.

I received the same request (May 25th), but mine was police certificate (Brazil needs two) + W2. However they didn't specify where to upload the W2, so we just did in the petitioner part, as an additional document. I hope I don't get another check list :(

Oh good luck to a speedy review of the resubmitted documents. I will keep my fingers crossed for you guys. I forgot, though, Brazil is a PIVOT case as well, isn't it?

Anyone have any experience with deleted duplicate documents from CEAC? We're PIVOT, and haven't heard anything from them since the 22nd of May, but I did submit a couple of documents twice (one on purpose, and a few on accident). Will they just delete the duplicates or are they going to make me start over again?

Enough time has passed that I'm starting to worry about EVERYTHING.

Did we put the right addresses on the I-130 form? Does our joint sponsor make enough? Did we spell anything wrong?

I really want this to just be a funny memory already...

Nebraska Service Centre / Frankfurt Embassy

2017/07/14 - Sent off our I-130 packet to the Chicago Lockbox (Filed from abroad)

2018/03/23 - NVC received petition

2018/05/17 - Case# received and fees paid

2018/05/22 - Scan date. Ticket worked, submitted all our paperwork until the wee hours of the morning.

2018/06/11 - CC!!! "Documentarily Qualified"

2018/06/25 - Got interview date for July 11; but we must reschedule for August.
