Hello all, stumbled upon this group just now.  We filed the I-130 back in March 7, 2017 (priority date) and just had our cc June 12, 2018.   Currently waiting for interview date in Montreal.  Do you know if interviews are arranged in the order of priority dates?  This process has been so.painfully.slow!  Trying to plan our summer but everything is on "hold" so we don't miss the interview.  Looks like Montreal is now almost booked up for July and now scheduling for August?

Also... we've been strongly advised not to travel to the States during this point in time (in this stage of the process).  Previously, up until now, we've been travelling there with a dossier-- documentation showing current proof of employment, home ownership, etc.  Anyone have experience crossing customs (i.e., travelling to the States for work or pleasure) after case has been closed, with documentation proof of returning to their country while waiting for the interview date?

My husband traveled to the US twice between the time we received a CC and our interview, both times were non-work related. The first time we didn't have our interview date yet, we had just received our CC a week earlier and he had no issues. The second time we had our interview date and it was just 2 weeks prior to our interview, he got asked a lot of questions because he had just been here less than a monther earlier but once he showed them the interview letter & told them he'd be going back for the interview, they didn't ask anything else and let him through.

How many pictures would be acceptable to take to interview?

Anyone?

Most people we saw brought a whole album, some got asked to show the pictures, others did not. We had included pictures in our packet from the time we met until we were married so I brought a photo album of pictures of us and with our families in the time since our wedding. We didn't end up getting ask to show any though. I would bring at least 10 just to be sure, if you have some with family members, that is always good.

So this morning at 2:09am I received an email to let me know that the documents have been received and looked over and know we should wait for the interview date which might take up 2 3months. The wait continues.<_<;)

Changed to at NVC 5/24

Received the CC email 6/18.

Almost there I guess!

Waiting for interview date, arrived at JFK last night. No issues or questions at all from the border agent. The previous time I arrived in the US (late May) I went to secondary screening.
