OMG, I am so irritated with st lukes medical.  My wife had her medical and they say her xray has an 'abnormality' and now she has to undergo the stupid sputum test which delays everything by like another 3 months.  Im so sick of all these stupid delays.  We finally have the finish line in site with an interview date and now that bs comes up.

This is probably a really stupid question but what is pivot and non pivot when speaking of immigration case? I always see you guys talking about it but idk what it is and how do you know what you are?

Pivot cases are all done online through the ceac system. If your country is a pivot country, then it means that you don't mail anything in to the NVC, you just submit it all online.

 

Non-pivot countries you have to mail everything in through the post.

 

More and more countries are switching over to the online system and so it's a big mess while they transfer everything.

Nebraska Service Centre / Frankfurt Embassy

2016/03/30 - Married!

2017/07/14 - Sent off our I-130 packet to the Chicago Lockbox (Filed from abroad)

2017/07/24 - NOA1 (sent to Nebraska)

2018/03/02 - NOA2 (Approved!)

2018/03/19 - "We sent your petition to the Department of State"

2018/03/23 - NVC received petition

2018/05/17 - Case# received and fees paid

2018/05/21 - Case# changed -- can't log in with the new one so "we've sent in a 'ticket' to get it fixed"

2018/05/22 - Scan date. Ticket worked, submitted all our paperwork until the wee hours of the morning. 

2018/06/11 - CC!!! "Documentarily Qualified"

2018/06/25 - Got interview date for July 11; but we must reschedule for August. 

2018/06/26 - Medical

2018/06/28 - New interview date received (for August 13th)

2018/08/13 - Interview in Frankfurt!!! They asked for certified translations.

2018/08/28 - Sent in translations

2018/09/06 - CEAC status changed to "ISSUED!!!"

2018/09/13 - Passport received in the mail! Everything is beautiful.

Hi peeps,

I am new on VJ, and I would appreciate assistance of anyone who could help me. I got CC on 7th June, 2018 and I haven't received interview appointment letter, neither interview has been scheduled yet the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade. My PD is current! When I should expect my e-mail from NVC with appointment letter? And approximately when my interview date would be? Thanks in advance!

It depends not just on the country but also on the visa type. For example, IR/CR immigration visas in Ukraine are pivot, but EB immigration visas are not.

☑ NVC case number issued – May 17

☑ NVC Scan Date – June 11

☑ NVC Case Complete – June 14

☑ Interview scheduled – July 16

☑ Medical exam – July 17

☑ Interview completed – August 21

☑ Visa received – August 27

☐ Touch down – September 28

PAID AOS & IV FEE = 20 APR 2018

FEE DEDUCTED = 25 APR 2018

DS260/CIVIL DOCS/ AOS SUBMITTED = 26 APR 2018

WAITING FOR CC :D
