LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
This was what I was thinking.

I doubt this works. Shouldn't one only technically have one residency at a time?
Because most of ur "official" documents have to have the same address? That's probably the one USCIS wants or whatever address u used for I-129F (assuming u still live there?)

Okay ... Hypothetically one could have  multi addresses, for say,  one could move from one address to another due to whatever reasons (job relocation, etc.) and the previous address is still valid (u own the property and didn’t sell).

As I read thru this, I am thinking when it comes time to AOS I will check for the quickest office that is processing and get an address near there. There are online services where you can get a legit address just about anywhere in the US, and they will even scan your mail to you, or forward it if you request it. Does anyone know if they physically check the address, I doubt it, and worst case scenario is you have to fly to that office for an interview. Things that make you go HMMMMMM.

Here on a K1? Need married and a Certificate in hand within a few hours? I'm here to help. Come to Vegas and I'll marry you Vegas style!!   Visa Journey members are always FREE for my services. If one has two addresses, can he/she use the one that has its local office with shorter processing time?

That would just mean you have 2 addresses where you can still receive mail.

But even if you didn't sell it and had a vacation home or something, you can only be a resident at one place at a time. Otherwise you're just a property owner. (DON'T ACTUALLY DO THIS!!!) Try voting in both local elections for your property locations and see what happens. ;)

In regards to filing AOS
Am doing  EAD/AP concurrently. Since these are technically individual applications, do I need a separate certified copy of my marriage certificate for each application? Or only have it with I-485 and not the other 2?

If you're sending them all together with the I-485, then just 1 is needed. My wife did exactly that and her AP and EAD were issued without any issue.

Much of it is to do with geographical location, unfortunately. When I had an infopass appointment the USCIS officer pretty much says big cities i.e Houston and Philadelphia are clogged because when Trump was inaugurated many out of status immigrants etc jammed in applications to try and get legal. The biggest areas that were impacted by this are big cities that have a large immigrant population.

Curious.  How does one without status apply for a visa when the vast majority don't have a qualifying relative (a US citizen or perm resident parent or spouse) to begin with?   Someone without status doesn't simply "try and get legal" unless they have a qualifying relative to petition and financially support the immigrant.

Nope we are still waiting. Our status was ready to be scheduled since August 2017 and it changed to "uscis can't provide you information.." in April. Not sure what will happen next.

That's a good sign. After I had that status "cannot provide..."  for 3 months, I received an interview notice.

I was trying to make a point for the choice of potential local office one could deal with, because in that scenario one could claim residency of ONLY one place which serves better for one’s interest. It’s tricky as I see it (especially when the relocation took place recently). One could stick to the previous residence and consider oneself as a temporary visitor at the new address ( like you have family tie to the old location, parents are there, and even your spouse stations there. This could happen when you first got the new job in another location and later seek for relocation back home), if the former address associated local office does a quicker job. Or one could switch to the new residence if its office is more efficient. This is the case like you said one cannot be a resident in more than one place at a time. You choose one out of both (or many) that serves better for your purpose, and you do have proper argument.

I don’t know, but how then you can show the IO in the interview that you are the local resident, while your documents point out your tie to elsewhere?

Obviously they would have to have a qualifying resident, when I said ‘many out of status immigrants’ it was sort of assumed they would have a path to doing so. The Presidency is reactive here, so it doesn’t really surprise me that something like that happened. It’s like when Obama was elected and gun sales hugely went spiked because people thought he was going to drastically shrink the second amendment.

Would anybody know to which office i would be filling AOS when living in MN?

you don't have to worry about that
all AOS documents go to the Chicago lockbox. THEY are the ones that assign you your office

Ok cool! I was having stress because the St. Paul office is really behind all the rest!

I mean you don't have to worry about where your case goes since you don't really control that.
If you live in MN, most likely your case goes to St. Paul

Am just saying you send ur original AOS package to Chicago Lockbox and they distribute ur files accordingly to the local office.
I think you're in the same boat i am- the Houston Office is SLOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWW too. And that's just unfortunate for us
