Hello. I have a question regarding change of address.

I'm a green card holder and I have moved last year. I submitted AR-11 form online within 10 days and received an email titled Address Change Request Confirmation. Could anyone tell me if this means my address is up to date as I have not received a confirmation email or letter stating that my request has been processed? Removing condition process is coming up soon for me and I want to be sure everything is in order.

Thank you for your response, SusieQQQ.

I made a call to USCIS just to make sure. They asked me if I received confirmation of approval which I didn't and I was told to make an appointment for the InfoPass to visit the local office. I've never done this InfoPass thing but looks like it will take a while just to make an appointment. I just want to get it out of my way before the 90 days to expiration of my GC comes which is next month.

I’m not sure what you mean by “approval”, it’s not a country where you need approval to move! You just need confirmation that they received and recorded the information. 

 

In the emails we got with the same subject line you said you did (Address Change Request Confirmation) the body said :

Address change request successfully submitted: 
Updated Address To: (and then listed the address, followed by a confirmation number)

 

what did did the body of your email say?

I meant about confirmation/notice that they updated my address. Sorry for the confusion.

I just got unsure as I heard some people saying that they received physical letter to confirm that the address has been updated and I just realized I never got one. 

I received exactly the same email as you did. I guess I was worrying over nothing and I will not have to go thorough the InfoPass. Thank you so much!

I certainly took the “updated address to”...to mean it was recorded. Possibly people who got mailed letters sent in paper AR11s? We’ve submitted 8 online AR11s now (4 family members each x 2 moves) and got that for all of them.

That's what I thought too when I received it after filing the form online and received an email the next day. Then I heard about physical letter confirmation and I got worried. I checked online to see if there are people that received the same email but I couldn't find much of latest information. You are probably right though the physical letter is for those who submitted by mail. It's good to know that you have done this twice and got the same messages.
