Saturday will be 3 weeks exactly since I sent my I-751 package off to USCIS.

It could go either way at this point, I could be processed as normal or I could get an RFE or they could send the package back to me.

I keep calling the bank asking if my certified cashiers check has been cashed and they keep telling me no.

That either means it's sitting in the processing pile at USCIS still, or they returned it right?

I recently got hired at a new job and they are asking for my greencard or authorization letter for my I-9, I told them the situation, that I am waiting on USCIS. They said get it to them as soon as I can.

So I am trying to track down where the hell my package is right now and I want to know if the USPS can give me answers, or USCIS can give me answers.

I sent it priority mail express and it says it was delivered, received and signed for at the CA service center. That's all I know.

USCIS does not return package unless there is a huge mistake in application like missing signature, you file early than 90 days for joint etc. Like mine was returned to me since I filed a day earlier than 90 days windows. So if you are not missing those, you should have your checks cleared and might receive NOA1 after that. You can call them just to make sure but not much you can do than to wait.

For RFE or any news on your I-751 might take approximately 18 months unless you get lucky.

CSC has about a 45 day wait until it’s even touched. They are still working on mid-April as of today.

until it’s processed, it just sits in a pile and reps won’t be able to tell you if they have it or not. Some people have been told their package was lost and to resend it, but then the next day get their check cashed.

if you didn’t get your package back within a week then it’s safe to say that you’re going to have to wait.

you may be able to make an infopass appointment and plead to them, but it’s a hit or miss if they will help. It’s never ideal to do any major changes any time you’re doing anything with your green card.

45 days WTH?

I was expecting 2-3 weeks to receive my authorization like it said on the I-751 guide.

I'm so ######.

Not great timing....

Do you have a valid state ID/drivers license and an unrestricted SS card? If so that fulfills I-9 requirements.

CR1 / DCF (London): 2012 / 2013 (4 months from I-130 petition to visa in hand)

I-751 #1- April 2015 [Denied]

April 2015 : I-751 Joint filing package sent fedex next day 09:00am from UK ($lots - thanks).
Jan 2017: Notification that an interview has been scheduled at a local office. Bizarrely still no RFE...
Jan 2017: 2hr wait, then interview terminated before it began, due to moving my ID to another state 2 wks prior. New interview 'in a few months...maybe.'   Informed them that divorce proceedings are underway, but not finalised at this time.
March 2017: An Interview was scheduled - marked as no-show as they didn't actually send out a notification of interview. FML
April  2017: Filed an official complaint with the ombudsman, and have requested Senator & Congressman assistance
August 2017: Interview - switched to a (finalised) divorce waiver. Told that decision will be made that afternoon, but no problems foreseen with my case.
October 2017: Letter of Denial received - reason given as 'I-751 petition was not properly filed'. Discovered ex-spouse made false allegations to USCIS in 2015. No opportunity given to review & refute allegations  - contrary to USCIS policy.

I-751 #2 - Oct 2017 - Mar 2021[Denied]

October 2017: Within 72hrs of receiving denial notice, a new waiver I-751, divorce decree & $680 cheque, sent to Vermont via FedEx overnight 9am priority.
Dec 2019: Filed FOIA request for full A# file
Feb 2020: FOIA request completed - entire A# file received as a .PDF; 197 pages fully redacted, and 80 partially redacted. Don't waste your time!
March 2021: I-751 #2 denied for lack of evidence. No RFE, no interview, and evidence in previous I-751 not reviewed - contrary to policy. Huge errors in adjudication.

N-400 - Feb 2018 - Apr 2021 [Denied]

February 2018: N-400 filed online.  $725 paid to the USCIS paperwork wastage fund

February  2019: Interview - cancelled after a four hour wait due to 'missing paperwork' on their end. Promised Expedited reschedule.

March 2021: Interview letter received, strangely dated after I-751 denial. No I-751 interview conducted. N-400 interview and test passed, given 'cannot make a decision at this time' paper due to the ongoing I-751 nightmare...

April 2021: N-400 denial received citing recent I-751 denial as basis for ineligibility, even though it should have been a combo interview 🤯

I AM JACK'S COMPLETE LACK OF SURPRISE

Service Motion - March 2021 [Sent via FedEx & COMPLETELY IGNORED by USCIS]

March 2021: Service Motion request sent overnight addressed direectly to field office director, requesting urgent review and re-opening, based on errors in adjudication - citing USCIS policy, AFM and memorandums as basis for errors. This was completely ignored by USCIS.

 I-751 #3 - June 2021 - Jan 2024 [Denied]

IT'S GROUNDHOG DAY

June 2021: I-751 #3 (30+lbs/5000 pages of paperwork) & another $680 sent to USCIS via FedEx ($300+..thanks) ....

June 2021: Receipt issued, card charged, biometrics waived, infopass scheduled for I-551 stamp number ten.....

Feb 2022: RFIE (no, not an RFE, a Request For Initial Evidence) received, for copies of the divorce paperwork that they already have 😑

July 2022: Infopass for I-551 stamp number eleven.....

August 2023: Infopass for I-551 stamp number twelve....

January 2024: Denial received, ignoring the overwhelming majority of the filing, abundance of evidence, and refutation of a provably false allegation. The denial also contradicts itself in multiple places, as if it was written by someone with an IQ <50.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

2024: FML. Seriously. I'm done.

Yes, moving, new jobs, etc.

and 30 days is the normal wait time but there was a back up at CSC and they have only processed applications up to April 16th as of today.

you will need to let them know of your new address and you can try to make an infopass appointment and attempt to get a passport stamp to give you proof of a green card, but depending on your local office they may just say no.

I sent my package 3 weeks ago today as well, they received it 3 weeks ago tomorrow.

based on current time frames we’re looking at hearing something back on or by June 24th

I know, I've kinda shot myself in the foot here.

Yes for drivers license, no for unrestricted.
It's restricted.

We were routed to the CSC same as you but there is currently a huge backlog at the CSC. Our's took 16 days but they are currently in the 30-40 day range. Your current Green Card will be valid until its expiry which is why it is suggested to submit your paperwork as close to the 90 days as possible to try and ensure you get the NOA1 in time for your Green Card expiry.

If you have your Drivers License and a Social Security card with no restrictions (No "VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION") then you can use those to satisfy the requirements for the I-9.

Take a look at the application form for the I-9 if you want to see what is acceptable.

Good luck!

Man, this sucks. I would have sent in my app sooner but we were having financial problems at the time.

My wife is currently supporting me and it's been stressful on our relationship. I was hoping this job would be golden but to learn of the backlog means I am probably not going to get it after I tell them how long I'll have to wait.

Maybe I can be a postmates driver ... lol

This is a brutal beatdown for me. :(

I will let them know of my change of address. I will also try the infopass appointment. It's really the only shot I have.

I'm in Oklahoma city. I hope they're feeling empathetic.
