We got our nvc letter today and got our case number so we are gathering all the information that I will require for my interview in London.

I've visited America quite a few times over the last three years as a visitor ,a couple of times I visited for three months at a time. Would I need to have a police record check for America as my total time visited would add up to more than six months.

Where can I find out the poverty line of how much you got to earn to be a sponcer as when I look I get different results.

The US will conduct it's own background checks on you from this side. So no you don't need to get anything from this side.

As for the poverty like, for 2 people (petitioner and beneficiary) believe it is at about $21,000 ..... I'm not entirely sure myself so I'll let others get that specific number for you.

You should start getting your information straight from the London embassy website because every embassy has slightly different methods. The will tell you all about the police certificate.

Start here with their Step 1,2, 3, 4 after younscroll down https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/applying-for-the-visa/

Then click the rest of the topics up at the top like "Required Documents".

The poverty guidelines are found on Form I-864P on the USCIS.gov website i-864p.pdf?download=1

Thank you

for the interview at the embassy in London do you have to be 100% of the poverty line or 125% as last year she was over 100% but under 125%.

this year she will be above the 125% does that mean she can be a single sponcer

London has approved 100% in the past for fiancés. The goal is 125% because you will have to meet that level after you enter the US in order to get a greencard.

The good news is that it's not about last year's income. It is current income.  Multiply her current monthly  salary by 12 to come up with her current yearly salary. Bring proof such as an employer letter verifying that amount or several recent pay stubs to back up the current salary claim.
