thanks too and i am really wonder what is letters written to each other after meeting referencing the specific date and place ??

sorry i repeat my question again haha bcuz we dont have that one

youve never sent a birthday or holiday card or even a love letter?

I'm a writer though, so .... its kind of what i DO lololol

and stuff like that would only be asked for if they have serious doubts that youve met. you need as much CONCRETE evidence as you can provide. iteneraries, unless backed by hotel of shopping receipts, only show you bought a ticket, not that you were on the plane (which is why boarding passes are better).

anyways, send what you have. its all you can do.

Thanks. And again they may have simply lost/misplaced a couple pages of information. It happens. The RFE is just a way for them to ask you to resubmit new copies. It sucks, but it does happen. They are humans over there at USCIS too and they make mistakes.

This happened to us in March. We had to send in everything again. We sent nothing new, except we'd been together again since originally filing so had more evidence. Don't get too hung up about the letter thing. Send everything you can, that's all you can do. We got approval in April. Mistakes get made.

Don't get too hung up on the examples they provided you (the letters between one another), as those are just that - examples. They are not requiring anything listed there specifically, only that those would be acceptable forms of evidence. As many people here have told you, most of us didn't have nor provided such letters and were approved with what we had. Send what you sent before again (as previously advised, something could have been lost or misplaced between Point A and Point B, so don't assume they still have copies of what you already provided). Send anything else you may have to accompany what you sent before, such as photos together, boarding passes to match the trip itineraries, other proof of communication (such as screenshots of call/chat/email logs within the specified timeframe). Sending anything that has occurred between your application time and present may also be helpful, as the above posted mentioned (such as showing evidence of any additional visits or communication that has occurred since then).

Håll ut, y'all.

Hi everyone,

I’m sorry for my long text but I need your help and advice in this matter.

I received a RFE letter  after I sent the K-1 visa package (I-129F). The letter is about Request for evidence – Two year meeting Requirement. This is what the letter says:

Two year meeting requirement

Submit evidence that you and your fiancé(e) have met each other in person at some time during the two-year period from November 1, 2015 until November 1, 2017 the filing date of your petition. Evidence should include, but is not limited to:

  • Letters written to each other after your meeting(s), referencing the specific date and place of your meeting(s).
  • Photocopies of your passport and/or your fiancé(e)’s passport, (including biographical data pages and pages showing entry and exit stamps) showing that you have both been present in a given location at the same time.
  • Affidavit of friends, neighbors, or other knowledgeable associates. All affidavits must conform to the guidelines cited below

I want to know if we don t have a letters written after we met cuz we only communicate through skype ,messenger, imessage ,videocalls and chats ..what we gonna do ?  can we submit the conversation and screenshot that we have after we met..thanks to  everyone

Read the request.  Letters are one of the items you can send.  It doesn't say you must include letters.  My wife and I didn't send letters back and forth from Philippines.  Who sends letters these days?  You are over-thinking this.

Since you most likely have copies of everything you sent, send it all again and add a few more pictures of the two of you together.   Copies of tickets and receipts are very good evidence as well.

Almost no one has answered this specific question. By "letters" they mean any written communication. So any emails, texts, whatsapp etc that talk about your trip and what you did on the trip etc you should submit

we met last july 2017 and yes all of the evidence that proved we submitted  already

Possibly due to the time frame being longer they are requiring more? I would think what you sent would be substantial but the more the better. I sent screen shots of whatsapp conversations, probably around 20 of them that showed us talking about future wedding plans, us speaking to each other expressing our love, as well screen shots of a handful of facetime and whatsapp phone calls. Then, the passport stamps, then around 8 printed out full size pictures of us with members of our families.

MY question is this.. do i have to go to Manila for ribboning my documents such as CENOMAR, certificate of singleness,  birth certificate, and photocopy of my passport before sending it to my fiance in US before he can file for petition? Because i basically leave far in Manila.. please i need help.. Filipinos may relate this matter.. thank you..

And one more thing is there really document called certificate of singleness?  Is it different from CENOMAR?  Because CENOMAR means certificate of non marriage if i am not wrong...

your documents do not need to be notarized, the Cenomar you can get from SM is fine, you will have to go to Manila for your physical and interview but that should be it, I do not believe there is a certificate of singleness
