Hi everyone,

I’m sorry for my long text but I need your help and advice in this matter.

I received a RFE letter  after I sent the K-1 visa package (I-129F). The letter is about Request for evidence – Two year meeting Requirement. This is what the letter says:

Two year meeting requirement

Submit evidence that you and your fiancé(e) have met each other in person at some time during the two-year period from November 1, 2015 until November 1, 2017 the filing date of your petition. Evidence should include, but is not limited to:

  • Letters written to each other after your meeting(s), referencing the specific date and place of your meeting(s).
  • Photocopies of your passport and/or your fiancé(e)’s passport, (including biographical data pages and pages showing entry and exit stamps) showing that you have both been present in a given location at the same time.
  • Affidavit of friends, neighbors, or other knowledgeable associates. All affidavits must conform to the guidelines cited below

I want to know if we don t have a letters written after we met cuz we only communicate through skype ,messenger, imessage ,videocalls and chats ..what we gonna do ?  can we submit the conversation and screenshot that we have after we met..thanks to  everyone

What information did you submit that indicated that you two met within the last 2 years?

Where did you meet? When did you meet?

You need to prove that you met in person within the previous 2 years

evidence:

Airline tickets, boarding passes with US Petitioner’s information
Passport stamps, other official documents proving visit to the country, or letters from a Military commander.
Dated or time-stamped photographs together
Other documented evidence: receipts, hotel bills, etc.

Did you meet within the last two years physically or was it before then? Only asking to specify cause someone will ask.

Also, is possible they simply "misplaced" the copies you sent them. It happens.

I wonder if submitting passport stamps or boarding passes alone isn't considered sufficient because it only proves you traveled, not that you were physically with your partner...? Speculating. How many trips were there/did you provide evidence for? Did you take any photos together? Any communication between the two of you prior to and following the trips where you discussed the trip/flight/visit/etc?

We sent boarding passes, trip itineraries, and passport stamps from all the visits my husband made during that period. We also had several photos together, and with other friends/family during those visits with time stamps on them. As for communication - we had no letters between the two of us, but we did send screenshots of our email, text, and phone/FaceTime conversations during that timeframe.

Håll ut, y'all.

I never submitted letters. Did you submit your pictures of your passport pages to show that you were in country at this time in conjunction with your receipts?

we met already physically we send photos together and all evidence that we met

Specifically when did you meet? Like month and year.

Again perhaps they misplaced the items you originally submitted by accident.

For us, I just sent copies of entry/exit stamps into the Philippines from passport, airline itenerary (didn't have the actual ticket anymore), receipt of hotel showing that time frame, and copy of my credit card statement showing a couple purchases.  Photos are secondary evidence, we only supplied about 4-5 total.

we met last july 2017 and yes all of the evidence that proved we submitted  already

Thanks. And again they may have simply lost/misplaced a couple pages of information. It happens. The RFE is just a way for them to ask you to resubmit new copies. It sucks, but it does happen. They are humans over there at USCIS too and they make mistakes.
