Hello Everyone! I just need an advice regarding the use of the old GC for a N-400 Application. The old GC I'm referring to is the one without any expiration date. It was issued in 1986 and the GC was never renewed. Is it okay to use this for the N-400 Application?

Yes. 

 

Green cards without an expiry date are considered valid. 

 

There was a proposal to force everyone with such a card to obtain a new one with a defined expiration date a number of years ago, but it never came into effect.

Yes, it is accepted.  A coworker of mine that had the same of type of green card for nearly 30 years applied for the N400 and successfully became a citizen within the past year.  He didn't experience any issues at all.
