As far as I am aware civil infractions have no bearing on ur case (traffic ticket). Only criminal offenses show up (assault, burglary, mip, dui)

Thank you.... what do you think can any of this affect the petition being under processing? could not find any information on the web

Criminal investigation could delay process. Civil infractions will not effect ur case. Most common is back ground checks.

Sorry to see that u r still waiting after all this time... I know it has to be dragging u down...

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

Yes, it's frustrating, our case was approved, than DOS sent it back to USCIS and we have no information...  It becomes more and more complicated

I called NVC and was given a Case number a couple weeks ago, I just checked the status online at https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx  and the message I get is;

U.S. Department of State
IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION
At NVC
Immigrant Visa Case Number: MO*************

Please follow the instructions you received from the National Visa Center (NVC) that list the six steps you must take before NVC can schedule your visa interview appointment. This includes submitting to NVC various fees, forms and documents. Once NVC has received all the required items, they will let you know if anything is missing or incomplete. You can also find these instructions online at http://nvc.state.gov (English) and http://nvc.state.gov/espanol (Spanish). You will find contact information for NVC at http://nvc.state.gov/ask.

Does this mean my case was approved?

Your petition was already approved by USCIS. Now with that case number that NVC gave you, you can request the embassy appointment. It works different for every embassy I'd suggest for you to check what's the info for yours. As soon as that status changes from "At NVC" to "ready" you can start getting everything together for the embassy stage. NVC usually sends the cases in batches to every embassy, the next batch should leave the NVC office on Aug 21st, so continue to check the ceac page for changes on your status.

I called and spoke to someone at NVC today, petition is still pending review, it's been there since the 2nd week of July... He was quite helpful with other questions I had, one was the DS-160 that you point too, allowing the embassy appointment, he firmly indicated NOT to do that until receiving confirmation and instructions from them via email.  I was able to add the email address of my beneficiary, so I just have to wait.

I'm at 9 months now, If I knew a Fiance Visa would take this long, I would have Married in Russia and filed the I-130 Immigrant visa instead!,  both would have taken the same amount of time.

Has anyone contacted a senator or a congressman regarding a delayed case? Ours is not only delayed, but requested back.

Any similar experience? Advice?

Thank you!

Still the same...you said you were waiting for the RFE to come in the mail. 4 days for mail in the US is reasonable.

I totally understand your feelings, we are in the same boat.

What is your NOA1 date?  When have you contacted your congressman and have you received any response from them or to the inquiry?

Our case was approved, it was at NVC, then department of state (DOS) requested it back and sent back to USCIS. We have not taken any steps yet so I need as much information as possible :(

Our NOA1 is Nov 1st.

Yes ours has responded she has some sort of contact there nothing special but yeah at least that person is actually at the service centre. Tier twos are useless when it comes to information especially with cases like ours. So try contacted them and explain they have direct emails to the service centres so it’s worth a try.
