I approach RFE's as if they are an opportunity for you to close a "whole" in your information that adjudicator does not understand or it is lacking and they will need an explanation/documents from you to render a decision. Having said that, this is the time to "go overboard" with information that can answer the RFE.

Does anybody now if there is an average wait time to receive an answer from on an RFE response.

We have been waiting 4 weeks today

We have not seen of late that their is any kind of "normal". In the past it was usually 2 weeks after submitting the RFE response that your record would be "touched" again.

sorry, don't understand "touched" again. Does that mean they just don't notify you?

Touched means that the website would update for your case and it refers to your case being "touched" by USCIS or being worked on.

Steve, it can take anywhere from 2-6 weeks to respond to an RFE so hopefully by next week you should be hearing something from USCIS. Did you get a email or message stating your RFE was recieved?  Hope to hear for an approval this week Steve.

CASE APPROVED

NOA1 September 29,2017

RFE - July 20, 2018

RFE Reply Received at USCIS- July 31,2018

Case Approved- August 03,2018

247 days thru the Mud.

I was told over the phone case was approved on August 3,2018 after he checked thru one of the other system. I don't know if they have many systems that they check the case to see whats going on because the other one didn't have much details but he checked on other system and find out case was approved. I advise anyone not yet approved that send in RFE to call and ask them to check the system to see whats going on.
