day 268 here! perhaps fill your timeline out so we can all see your details ect. :)

It's hard for me to keep track of everyone but have you contacted the Ombudsman? Details are below if you need the information. Your way be on normal, even for these recent months. It's time to bring out the BIG GUNS.

@AA&JJ you and Amy & John might try both options below.

First try shooting off an email to the Ombudsman at cisombudsman@HQ.DHS.GOV The Ombudsman provides an impartial and independent perspective to USCIS in an attempt to resolve problems.

Second try your U.S. representative's contact information can be found in this handy directory, and your U.S. senator's information is in this one.

If you receive a response and it contains anyone of these sentences this will be the meaning of that phrase.

If the CSC response is due to a congressional case worker inquiry, the service center will say "security checks"

If the CSC response is from a regular service inquiry from their website, the service center will say "adjudication"

If you don’t mind me asking, should I also contact the Ombudsman?

*My case is now on day 243 and my NOA1 is dated - 11/24.

*My first and only case inquiry response was on 06/24 and the details read, “security checks.”

*Response from congressman was on 07/13 and he was told it was under jurisdiction.

I read on the Ombudsman website that I cannot ask for case assistance until my case has reached 60 days beyond USCIS’ processing times. Since I consider this a much greater assistance I did not want to file until I was completely sure my case will not stir any kind of annoyance that will result in a deliberate rejection. I’d like to ask for your thoughts. Thank you.

Just wanting to ask what everyone else has been told... that you cannot do another official inquiry until 30 days after the letter of response from the last inquiry was dated. So really you cannot file for at least 45 days or more from the last??

Each Embassy is different. It's hard for me to tell which Embassy you are from as you have not completed your profile which adds your country's flag and name to your profile that appears in the left hand column. It's a very useful tool for those who want to answer your questions with factual answers. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks

We are already approved and the documents are now in the process sending it to the US Embassy here in Tokyo, Japan. How long is my estimated time to process everything to the interview date? Would you please help me give an estimate?

I am not up to speed on the Embassy in Japan. We have a resident expert @Naes who can maybe help you with this. I also would recommend that you go up to the blue ribbon on this page and select "timelines" and explore this area and you should find others like yourself. Also, on your profile, select "timelines" and find "others with similar timelines" and that will help answer your question.
