The old site is now defunct. It's not being updated as they are phasing it out. So start to rely on the new site.

There is a procedure they follow, and that procedure is not transparent so it's hard to gauge where you are in the process. Having said that you must trust their process, or you are going to show signs of stress, agitation, you'll have moments of "I can believe this is happening to us" etc. To avoid those symptoms, you must realize that you are in a very normal process that will take from 7-8 months as evidence by others before you have experienced.  Yes, background and security checks are begin shortly after your file arrives at USCIS. Depending on your background and your country that will determine your timeline. Some countries take longer than others.

Petitions are RARELY miss placed or lost. You have a way of knowing approximately when your file will be complete.

Best recommendation is find others from your country who are close to you in the process and follow their timelines.

There are several tools available to you. Go up to Immigration Timelines on the blue ribbon above and select it. Once you are on the next page looked to your left and you will see a box that states, "find similar timelines" and select it. A list will populate with those who are processing close to your timeline. When they start to change you will soon be behind them. Also, there is another place you can go and follow others who are processing the same time you are and for the same Embassy. Go to the blue ribbon at the top of this page and select "portals". Scroll down the left-hand side of the page till you get to VJ "your country's name" Timelines. Just below it you'll see "K-1" so you select it and out pops a window with others from your country.

Thanks for the information & have done that. All but two have them including me including many approvals from Australia after my date. 😓

I can't believe that USCIS is still asking for the TOS (terms of service) from cherrybloosom. There has been hundreds if not thousands of couples who meet on CB and USCIS knows this. They also know that CB is not a marriage broker. It just amazes me.

Go to https://www.blossoms.com/termsofUseNew.php and https://www.blossoms.com/aboutUs.php and print off the entire pages. Then put the pages with a copy of the RFE in an envelope and follow USCIS's return instructions. Once they receive it your file will begin being adjudicated after about 2 weeks. Not approved but adjudicated to it's final status.  It should be approved soon.

Good luck.

hi @Greenbaum i printed these links and sent to my fiance but he is kinda hesitant if this is the only paper they need from us? this is his response

by the way this is the paper that we sent with the packet before.a letter from cn stating that they are not a marriage broker

Take the Cherry Blossom letter and the CB's TOS along with a letter (see example of letter below) from you and send back with a copy of the RFE. Be sure to make a copy of everything you send back. Also, send it so you can track the package to USCIS. Both of you should sign the letter. You can send it to the other for signature as a pdf attached to an email. Print and signed and the scan and return for inclusion into your reply back to USCIS.

To whom it may concern:

I met my fiancé on Cherry Blossoms and to my knowledge and evidence by the enclosed letter, Cherry Blossoms is not an International Marriage Broker. There are no introductions or matchmaking services or social referrals between US Citizens and foreign nationals. There are no written consent forms or contracts that members are required to sign. Members search and communicate with others from their own free will.

My fiancée or I did not pay or signed a written consent authorizing the release of personal information. There were no introductions, both of us communicated with our own free will. I have enclosed a copy of the letter from Cherry Blossoms stating that they are not a IMB company and they do now run their website as such.

I hope this gives you a better insight on the workings and our experience with Cherry Blossoms.

With best personal regards,

XXX and XXX

We have sent the needed document on June 12, they received on June 13 and approved on June 19/20, check the new website every day. Good luck!

I should have taken your advice.. this entire ordeal of waiting 8 months has taken it's toll, to the point that I stopped checking and began relying on Case Tracker... For some reason I decided to check the new USCIS site today and to my surprise I found that my case was approved on July 5th!, finally!.. As for case tracker, what a useless this app this proved to be,  it's now the 9th and it still has not updated.

Have you checked the system setting for the interval selection that it wasn't set to something like "check every week" or something to the effect? Also, check the date that the app was last updated from the store by the author. If it's been awhile then that tells us something.

Yep, anyway, I am so happy you received your approval. All of these apps became useless after USCIS launched its new website. We got approved on June19, it's July 9, no updates on any of the apps, so just rely on new website, nothing else.

WE GOT APPROVED!!!

I was whatsapping my man before he started work and I noticed I had an email through informed delivery. Checked it and it was an USCIS letter! Checked the new website and it said we were approved July 6th! It took a few days for the new website to update since I had been checking it just before going to bed on weekdays; it took a few days for it to update after I sent my RFE, too. I've told my manager that all my focus for the day is gone, but he seems to be okay with that as long as its only today :jest:

Case History according to new website:

Case Received: November 23, 2017

RFE Sent: May 15, 2018

REF Received: May 31, 2018

Case Approved: July 6, 2018

If you wish to have your immigrant/fiancée visa file transferred from one Embassy to another U.S. Embassy/Consulate, please contact the appropriate U.S. Embassy/Consulate directly in the country where you wish to apply and follow their instructions for case transfer. Please click here for the full list of all U.S. Embassies and Consulates overseas.

The old Embassy will need to receive a formal file transfer request from that U.S. Embassy/Consulate in the country where you wish to apply. Upon receipt of this request, they will immediately forward the file for the New Embassy to process.

Once you contact your New Embassy you then can discuss the transfer of your fee. Be sure to have your payment receipt available.

You have to wait till it arrives in London and is set to Ready. Then send your request.

Great news VJers, we got our Approval! I guess my 140-page RFE worked like a charm! Next step... call NVC starting next week.

Our official approval was on 3 July, but no update on the website, via e-mail, or text (even though I am signed up for it all). New website is still saying "RFE Received on June 20", but I got the NOA2 letter in the mail today!

I hope and pray that all of your approvals come soon! Keep the faith!
