Just fill out the form and either mail or fax back to them. Or you can even take a visit to the congressman/congresswomen's office so that they can at least talk to you face to face.

I am not too sure and I think it really depends on the congressman/congresswomen's case workers.

In our case, we contacted and they got back to us within 3 business days by email and saying that they have made an inquiry.

That is what I did. I took my all our paperwork and walked into the congressmen's office. It helped that my congressman was pro immigration. So it is a good idea to study the imigration stance of your senator or congressman before you ask for help.

Similar to ours, we contacted our congresswoman  via email and got a response back in about 3-4 business days. Her case worker sent us an email and had us fill out some release form that she sent to the California service center. It helps to ease the anxiety a bit when you can get the office of a politician to also make an inquiry.

I would've never known about it if it wasn't for this site.

Try sending this letter below to your congressman. This letter worked very effectively for me and got us approved 2 days later.

I am worried that my I-129f petition has been lost because it states in the Adjudicator's field manual in section 10.11 except for special cases that are expedited, Generally, applications and petitions should be processed in the order in which they are received. I am on a website called visajourney.com and we are supporting and helping one another. From what I can see hundreds of I-129f petitions have been approved  received after my date of November 1th, 2017 and many of them confirmed their petitions were not expedited.

My hope is that you can inquire as to the status of my petition, and request that they process it without further delay. I appreciate your attention to this matter and thank you in advance for your assistance. Please don't hesitate to call me at XXX.XXX.XXXX if there is any additional information I can provide that would be helpful.
