Just got an email, the assistant to my congresswoman in Hawaii will be making an inquiry into USCIS on my case,

I can't thank this site enough for the numerous tools/advice/help I've been made aware of to help me.

@Greenbaum My fiance called the UCSIS today (1st call he made was last Monday the 18th of June) and spoke to Tier1. He was given a reference number and said that feedback will be given in 15 days. Today he spoke with Tier2 and he was told that our case was last touched last June 19th and being adjudicated already and decision will come out soon. He was also told by the Tier2 that "its a good sign". My question is, (just in case you know the answer) does the background checking the major reason why its taking long for the adjudicator to decide for a certain case?

Any inputs from others would highly appreciated as well.

Thanks in advance! :)

I would think the background check complete before it reach the  adjudicator

Work load and background checks are what influence the speed to which approvals come. Just a little more patience as you are almost there.

We were approved yesterday. Our RFE took 15 days. They received it new site June 7th and approved it old site June 22nd.

Our RFE just needed more 2 year proof and another letter of intent.

You can expect anywhere from 10 days to 6 weeks so it shouldn't be too long now. I got an RFE on May 23rd and sent it back May 28th.  2 weeks later we were approved so just depends on the person processing your petition I think. Hang in there because it won't be long now.
