No issue at all.  Once you clear immigration at the airport you are free to go anywhere within the US you want.

Thanks a lot! Appreciate your quick response! :)

As a follow up to my strange predicament of not receiving an NOA 2 prior to receiving notice from the NVC with a case number I contacted USCIS to see why I never received any type of notification of approval. I had to call back 4 times to finally get something definitive. First 3 calls consisted of me talking to a standard operator whom, after repeating the same information over and over again, realized they could not help and that they would need to transfer me to someone else (presumably a Tier 2 officer I didn't ask).

Oh so sorry girl that you have to go through this kind of predicament. But congratulations on your approval!! No more reason now for you to get frustrated, disappointed and bitter😁. May you have a much more smooth sailing journey towards the end.

Have an awesome life with your partner. Praying that it’ll happen to you.

Remember, don’t let negativities take in. Be calm, relax and enjoy this ups and downs. Just spread #lovelovelove

This has been bugging me a little! I don’t mean it to sound the way it does but your a January filer. I don’t mean to sound uncompassionate to how your feeling but 5 months is nothing to how long people have waited. If you look on USCIS website, average processing time is 5-7 months. Historic processing until January 31st 2018 is 6.5 months. I’d enquire with congressman/senate level when you reach the upper end. Otherwise, expedite if you feel you can’t wait and meet the necessary criteria. We are Day 166...are we fed up waiting as a December filer-yes!! But there’s a system and we are still in normal processing time so it’s a waiting game. That’s the reality of what you and everyone else has entered! If everyone could reach out to congress there would be no systematic system. But good luck anyhow. I just want everyone to get an approval who’s has been waiting many months before ours (December) as that would be just and only fair. I think it’s just a little insensitive to come to a filing month before yours to openly convey your plans. Many people on this thread are beyond WAY beyond 150 (infact beyond 210 days+) and have had to have a lot of patience. We have to wait it out like everyone else. The USCIS works how it works. End of.

My best,

Jon

Thanks anyway. I appreciate your concern. I am keeping my sanity to this journey also. And that everyone wishes everyone a speedy process. Again, I understand and pay respect to each individual in here on VisaJourney. Much assured nobody will be left behind.

Don’t worry we are not approved yet despite the inquiry. So the show still goes on for us counting the days till we get approved(in God’s time).

Best of everything to you and your love,

I worry about using airports since you won't have any real ID I imagine

? You will have a passport from your home country containing a K1 Visa stating you are legally allowed to be in the US and therefore allowed to use your passport as ID within the US ???

Good day fellow November filers! Still waiting for our (nowhere to be found) NOA2 1f602.png😂1f602.png😂! Just a quick question...fiance is from Washington State. When we arrive in the US, would it be okay (for me) to stay for a week in SFO (with the fiance) and then drive to Washington State? Will there be an issue immigration wise? Thanks in advance for your inputs!

Hi, I’m a November filer too. I guess there’s no problem with that. We have same plans too. My POE soon when I got my visa will be SFO and spend 3 days there before flying home to Seattle. Good luck. Hope you will get your NOA2 soonest. God Bless. 😊

Ok VJ-ers... I want to share my story so everyone knows what happened, and maybe this can be valuable information for some in my previous situation.

I was told an RFE was sent on 22 May, but I never received it. Having just updated my address, I thought that it might have gone to the previous address. Since USCIS mail does not forward, it would not have gotten to me. So I initiated an e-request online on 31 May and also called the next day and spoke to the Customer Service Rep. He said that since I had an "e-request", that he could not initiate a "service request". Essentially the same thing, but one is done online and the other over the phone. Well... on 13 June, I received an e-mail stating that "an RFE was sent to your most current address, please follow the instructions in the letter". WHHHOOOAAAAAA!! I never received the RFE, so how can I follow the instructions?!? So I called this morning again, requested to speak to a Tier 2 IO. She was very helpful. It turns out that my RFE was really sent to my old address. So whomever was working it yesterday, didn't actually check which address it was sent to, and lied saying that it was sent to my new updated address. However, the Tier 2 IO asked me for a fax number and sent it to me in 10 minutes!! So I now have my RFE, asking for more proof of the 2-year requirement to be met.

So thank you all for the help along the way, and for everyone that listed to me gripe and complain. I hope my story can help anyone else in this situation.

Hi guys, I just received the following email .. and maybe i am overthinking but Does this mean something about a closer future approval?

I saw last week there is a setting on the new website to send you a notification every 2 weeks if no action has been taken on your case. Personally, I turned it off because I knew seeing an email from USCIS would get my hopes up to then crush them when I would see its just them saying they haven't done anything. I don't think this notification is going to mean you're any closer or further away. It's just a generic update to make you feel like you're in the loop; I do it all the time at my IT support job.

Does anyone else get the feeling it's going to be another slow approval day according @x_driven_x's scan tonight? On days that there are lots of approvals this thread is buzzing by 11am CST. When there are less approvals, the thread is dead.
