Website updated today for us to "Response to USCIS' Request for Evidence was Received", dated May 31st.
Not sure how long it takes for them to process after they receive it, but hopefully we'll get an update in a week or two.

What day did you send your RFE response? I sent mine on the 21st, tracked, but it didn't get delivered until the 30th. I'm not a very calm person (putting it like that is an understatement) so I've been in a constant state of panic since I got the digital RFE notification.

In the past we have seen 2-3 week turnaround on RFE's. More patience guys.

Sorry if it's been asked before, but has anyone had to report an Outside of Normal Processing Times inquiry? If so. what exactly happens? I received my NOA1 on NOV 7 on old site and Nov 9 on new site. Is the case expedited, can I call multiple times if no movement is made on the case? I am able to call and report abnormal processing times on June 5th.

A little discerning seeing that I am seeing other NOA2's being received from Canadian applicants from a month prior to when we applied. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Shoot off an email to the Ombudsman at cisombudsman@HQ.DHS.GOV The Ombudsman provides an impartial and independent perspective to USCIS in an attempt to resolve problems.

Well, I sent the RFE via fedex overnight to their direct office address, not to the PO box - apparently that puts it in their actual hands faster.
Mine was regarding proof of in person meeting.
I sent two sworn affidavits, our photos and scrapbook (copy), credit card statements, plane tickets, hotel confirmations, luggage tags, and a duplicate of the evidence we originally submitted in the petition.

This happens more than I can count on my fingers. It's a sorry shame that you go through all this work in submitting all the requested documents and then they say send them again. Exasperating to say the least.

That's exactly what our lawyer said - just send everything again, plus a sworn statement. He said he's repeatedly seen cases where the get an RFE for something that was included in the petition originally, they re-send the same evidence, and it gets approved.

OMG I got approved!!! I am actually going to bed now but thinking just check the website as usual, first checked new website but shows received, then old website then it says case was approved!! Then check the app it says approved as well, but no notification from either websites or the app.

NOA1 (old): Nov 09, 2017

NOA1 (new) Nov 11, 2017

NOA2: Jun 01, 2018

Today my fiancé just flew to my country and arrived like 5 hours ago, and it’s a perfect gift for both of us!!

I want to thank everyone who sent graphs, links, useful tips as they helped me a lot during my anxious waiting periods.

I would highly recommend whoever haven’t received your NOA2 yet please go and find your local congressman/woman, this Monday (Memorial Day) my fiancé sent an email (complaining the long wait and explaining how we met and that day was our three years annivasary and please help us, etc.) to the local congresswoman. This Thursday morning he walked in their office to follow up, as he needs to catch the early afternoon flight to my country. And surprisingly the people in the congresswoman’s office was extremely nice and caring, and the same afternoon I got approved!

Good luck to everyone and Happy Friday!!

Congratulations!!

Still no word, nothing in the mail or online on either site...I'm going to send an email to my local congressman. He is a republican I hope he will be sympathetic. I'm a 8 yr US Navy Veteran....don't know if its worth mentioning but I might try it. I don't  mention my vet status to help me in situations...but I might this time. I just miss my fiance...my little sister calls him Mr bean...I dont see the resemblance but he is goofy and hilarious.
