Nothing yet. I mailed it through UPS to be signed for, and they didn't get a signature, and they don't know where it is 🙄😐 It's just a nightmare that's never ending right now. So apparently, the UPS girl mailed it through USPS, which I didn't want - Which is why I chose UPS, but my husband dropped it off for me, and I guess she told him that doing it that way would be better. So the tracking is stuck at "Out for Delivery". The Manager at the Sorting Office said that they usually have a guy come daily from USCIS to pick up all mail, so he's taken my details, and he's going to try to talk to this guy and see if he can confirm if my envelope ever got to USCIS. I also emailed the Contact Center Midwest email, who had been previously been in correspondence with me regarding the recall. They just emailed me a generic response telling me to just wait for my new GC... But I don't think they will replace it without an i-90, if it never made it to them. You never know...

I'm so over all of this, that I can't even be mad anymore... I've just decided to adjust to living in limbo, and that I'll have to carry my passport with me for the rest of my life lol 😭

Please don't give up. Can you make an infopass appointment? I'm so sorry you are still going thru this. Hang in there.

Thanks, I don't think an info pass appt would achieve much. I think they would just tell me that at this point in time, it's considered lost, so file an i-90 for a replacement, and I guess we'll have to pay the fee and just wait. It's annoying... Because non of this would be happening if they'd got the date originally correct... Even the second time would have done lol 😭 I can't believe it's gone missing after all this 🙄

Oh well... I have the PR, and I can go about my life, it's by far not the worst case scenario. Just frustrating. I'm going to give the USPS guy time to see what he can find out, and also USCIS to see if they by some miracle did actually receive it, and see if they mail me another one. At some point I'll have to pull the trigger and file for it as lost I suppose...

I had a similar thing happen with filing n-400. USPS lost it and it became stuck in "delayed" status. 3 weeks after its supposed day of delivery, USCIS got receipt of it. Mark it lost and USPS will try track it down as they have been doing. Hopefully it finds its way.

I'm really glad my journey has ended. I became US citizen on July 4th. Just waiting a few more days to update my social security card.

Keep us updated on your situation.

I'm glad that your journey is over <3 I know it was long wait for you... It must feel very good to not have to deal with USCIS again :) I will apply for Citizenship in the near future - I will need to get this Card issue resolved first though - It literally said in the Recall letter, that while the typo issue doesn't affect the PR status at all, it could cause issues/delays at Citizenship filing time. They seem confused with the standard run of the mill stuff, so I certainly don't to be applying for Citizenship while there are other balls in the air, so to speak.  So it's back to the waiting game for now... I'll keep you guys posted <3

Everyone's problems now have to do with card errors/mailing. I'm still over here waiting to hear back. I've had no updates since May 3. Which has pretty much left me in the same position I was in 2016. It's so disheartening to continue being left in the dark

So sorry that you're still waiting! :( I have previously acknowledged myself, that while the typo errors are frustrating, it's not like the stress of the actual processing. You probably have, but have you lodged Service Requests? Spoken to a Tier 2 officer on the main phone line? I don't know if you are classed as 'Out of normal processing time' now? as they updated and extended their processing times a few months ago - But that would be worth checking online too. Are there any other personal circumstances with your application that you're aware of, that may be causing additional checks/verification etc? Those are all routes that I would look into. Good luck! I hope that you hear something positive soon :)

I guess I´ll have to adjust to be in limbo too... Since I got this wrong card, I had change jobs and travel internationally. Everything has gone successfully with my stamp and the copies of letter of approvals and recall letter. Very few times I have been so stress out for days prior to present my proof of employment and passing customs at the airport

I put in an N-400 application in Dec 2017. I believe this is what is slowing down my process. But it seems like others who also put in N-400 applications have heard back. The last time I spoke to someone, they said it could take up to 6 additional months :-/

I emailed them again yesterday to tell them the letter wouldn't arrive on time. I expressed my frustration at the tight deadline they provided. This morning I got a stock message thanking me for returning my card. I emailed back asking them to ask California to produce my new card since they've had it for over a month now. They wrote back to me literally ten seconds later with another stock message but this time bolded and underlined a sentence telling me to be patient. Seriously? This is their mistake, not mine. They're acting like I'm sending my card to them and refusing to acknowledge that California has it. Are they stupid?

Sorry but I'm so frustrated at this point.

Sorry to hear about your situation Ketsuban..

I haven't checked VJ for a while since USCIS sent my GC to my previous address..

I basically gave up on the GC at this point..

My concern though is that my passport expires in March 2019 and without having GC I wonder what would be my residency status.. I asked my lawyer she wasn't very clear about my situation and simply said we're filing N400 for naturalization and you should be fine. Does this sound right to you? I'm worried I don't want to be here without having some residency card.. And also I asked about extension stamp on passport, they said they'll extend it to the date my passport expires so that won't help.. I already have an extension stamp on my passport which ends on Sept 2nd.. So Idk how to resolve this problem.. My lawyer suggested to renew my passport, however there's only one Syrian embassy that could issue new passport and that is in Rio , Brazil.. So I can't get visa to there anyway.. So that won't work either.. I'm so frustrated.. :///

Make an info pass appt to verify... But I believe if you don't have a valid passport, they stamp something else for you.

They'll stamp an I-94 if you don't have a valid passport. What I'm not sure about is whether they'd require you to have an I-90 receipt to get the stamp since technically your card is "lost" (though that was USCIS's fault for sending it to the wrong address).

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

Make an info pass appt to verify... But I believe if you don't have a valid passport, they stamp something else for you.

Hey BFP, did your card get delivered?

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp

I honestly don't know. BUT, an Immigration Officer called me this morning... He confirmed that there are a second batch of recall Permanent Resident Cards that went out with the incorrect date AGAIN, and he wanted to verify with me that I was one of them. He said that it shouldn't matter if my returned card never made it to USCIS, as the original error lies with them - So I shouldn't have to file an I-90 (but he couldn't guarantee that completely), and that they should just reissue me another card. He said that right now, they are going through everybody that they think was affected by the second error batch, and they are still figuring out how they are going to format this recall. He thinks it will be similar to the last one... We'll receive a Recall letter, and then instructions will follow...

It's crazy. He was very nice though, and honestly, I was just relieved that someone actually contacted me... Even though he couldn't confirm if they received my returned card, he could at least tell me that there is a second recall, and that they are working on it.

Fingers crossed it will be a similar format to the first one, and they'll get new cards shipped out soon. Between USPS and USCIS, it's been hard work lol. I tell you... I can't wait to just have the correct card in hand, and forget about it 😊

Forgive me... I have forgotten what happened with yours in the end? Do you have a correct card in hand now?
