I haven’t filed the paperwork yet.. I have to get an ob to do a vaccine before the immigration doctor will give me my medical paperwork to send

And if you haven't even started the paperwork yet the chances of you having AP within the next 30 weeks are slim. You don't want to be flying long-haul beyond 37 weeks. Some airlines don't permit it after 34 weeks.

Oh, you said in December you were about to file. It's almost June. Thought you would have filed by now.

Yeah well things happened. My father passed away, right after that, I had to use my money that I had saved for it, months went on and now I’m pregnant and stuck. Not that I should have to explain that anyway.

All I’m waiting on is this medical form so I can send it all away together. And as said before, I don’t plan on going back anyway!

I understand - these things happen to all of us at some point in life. But this is sooo important. Right now you are out of status, pregnant with no medical coverage. What's done is done but if the employer won't add you then you'll need to "pay as you go". I don't see that you have a reason to get coverage through the marketplace outside the enrollment period as it's been so long since you got married.

I believe there are some charitable organizations that help pregnant women with no medical coverage - usually catholic charities have such facilities.

Yeah pay as you go is looking like my best option anyway. As I have no idea where to start looking to buy insurance.

Thanks.

I would have thought a payment plan would be your best bet, not sure the timelines about all this, somethings I can not follow.

But certainly something to discuss with your spouse.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

As someone pointed out in your previous thread, you can choose to postpone your medical and bring it to your interview instead of sending it with your AOS application. So if you're having trouble getting the medical completed now, just send your AOS application without it. That way you'll at least get the process started and you'll be able to get a SSN when your EAD arrives. Plus you'll be in authorized stay after filing.

I hope it'll all work out! I imagine it's a very stressful situation to be in.

YES!! Thank you. I totally forgot about that! So I can just send it all away without the medical and then take the paperwork to my appointment?

That's what I believe others have done. But I'm no expert, because I had my medical done in my home country before moving to the US, so I hope someone else can confirm this. It will give you the chance to sort out the insurance issue (keep bugging your husband's insurance company!) while you won't be out of status anymore. Good luck!

Don't fart around trying to get the MMR now it's contraindicated during pregnancy. You needed to get it done long before baby. You will only need the DTap and that is safe during pregnancy.

See that’s what I thought. I thought it was contraindicated anyway! They told me I had to get it because it was ‘low’ whatever that means.. I got it before starting school at like 4/5 years old so I must have to get it topped up. That was the only thing they said I needed and then something else after 27weeks of pregnancy.

Thank you! I’m sure others have mentioned this before. I forgot all about it. My mind is slightly more at ease knowing I could just send  all away and then get the medical paperwork later on. I had the medical done, I just need them to give me the paperwork.
